I'm selling a subdecay Quantum Deluxe phaser and a Skreddy Supa Tone due to finances. Both great pedals, recent purchases and mint boxed condition. I'll post pics at the weekend. The phaser is great on bass and has an expression jack for extra control. The Supa Tone is a fat rasping fuzz which is great on Bass. Nice small footprint. The tone control will even add bass, which is rare for fuzz on bass... Quantum £190.00 inc Royal Mail special delivery. Supa Tone £90.00 inc Royal Mail special delivery. Thanks for looking.

I used to own that bass and sold it a few years back. It's a very versatile jazz, very well built and I'd recommend it. I only sold it as after trying a lot of jazzes I realised they are not for me. Played very well, It's pretty and has a slightly thinner neck than some jazzes. The preamp is great. Weight wise it was pretty light in comparison to the old 70s fender jazzes I had but they are always pretty heavy. I bought it from. Mark at bass direct, it's no longer on his site but there is a long shot he might have the specs and weight somewhere. Hope this helps.

You could try a heavier gauge on the ADG but I think it's a stingray problem myself. I owned a 70s an 80s and a 90s one. They all do that. I stopped using them for that reason. There are plenty of happy stingray users out there but I couldn't get past it.

I think this was the "axe" bass. It was used in the Tommy film but beyond that I don't have much info.

It's fantastic. The distortion is really fat and the Rat is the first really usable one I've had. In the past I always found unless the rat goes into the front of a full valve amp it sounds bad. This one works on hybrids too. The LPFs are the secret weapon I think. It seems Tom can make better pedals on his kitchen table than the big companies, for less money, simply by giving a f*ck about the end product and how it will actually work live, in a room, with a band. Not in a bedroom on a youtube clip. How's yours?
Darren is that an ew Minifooger drive in there? How you rate it?
It's the minifooger boost pedal, just for a wee tickle. Havent tried the drive as there's already too much filth on the board. The boost is quite nice tho. I just changed to a boogie big block head which has a boost/OD channel so I might not need it anymore.

The brimstone audio unit is a belter but I'd go with cog effects. The distortion and rat combo I have from Tom is amazingly good. I'm taking a few pedals off my board now as I don't need them.

Calling all big valve/tube amp users - what spares...?
tonyxtiger replied to Sean's topic in Amps and Cabs
Unless it makes you feel safer, I wouldn't bother with spare valves. I rehearsed and gigged a 400+ for over ten years without a single issue. I did completely re valve it a couple of times but it never died at a show. Only time fuses went was when the usual dicks with no gear who used it switched the power and standby on and off at the same time. (You can tell I'm not still bitter about it) Having had a 2024x and a 400+ but sadly not at the same time I can imagine that will sound great. Put it on a big cab and it will take down walls! I'm jealous now. -

Pretty much but with a few improvements. As you mention it has a switchable graphic eq section and the amp is rack mount format. Along with the usual ultra hi and ultra low switches there is a bright switch which gives a different treble eq boost to the ultra high. The other cool feature is the separate drive knob which lets you blend in the amount of drive you want rather than maxing the gain as I always find that tends to ruin the bottom end on an ampeg classic. So it's like the classic, just better.

Hi, selling my SVT pro 2 for £650.00 plus shipping. Bought this as a temporary amp and now time to move it on. Working well and was serviced regularly throughout it's life. Power section is winged C valves and the pres are JJs. Few scrapes externally but internally very clean and tidy. As you might imagine, sounds great.

Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago! Too busy assaulting people with it to post but here we go... Essentially a RAT and Knightfall in one box with a few tweaks but everything would be available on toms standard models anyway. There is a page about it on Toms COG website with all the details. I wanted to wait and use it for a while before gushing but yes, it's lovely. Anyone thinking of taking the plunge should go for it with confidence. There is also a Verellen big spider on my board which Tom put a clean blend in.
