As promised, they arrived late afternoon and I packed those bad boys up like a rabid mammal. They are officially “in the post” for tomorrow so no tracking numbers to have you refreshing and foaming. If it’s not in the post tomorrow then you should see it Saturday. It’s the kind of great system where you can’t track it until it’s delivered, god bless them. so it’s been a long wait, highs and lows, many posts, but you will like them. Ive just had a big go through a Matamp and two orange cabs. Yes my ears are stinging.

Aye, I was expecting delivery today so I could send out for Friday. This on the basis I was told my shipment was leaving on Tuesday. Fingers crossed I’ll receive them sometime tomorrow. Depending on when in the day that happens, if there’s time to get them parcelled, addressed and shipped out before the post office shuts then we may make Friday /Saturday. I know everyone is foaming at the mouth and I know Andertons are saying they have them at their “warehouse” its possible they get priority over me as they are a massive deal and I am just a lowly four stringer. We may end up a day or two behind but we did get them cheaper!

Apologies, that was cruel. I got distracted as I had a chainsaw in my other hand. Aaaaannyywayyyy i suggest booking an early Friday finish next week as I think we will all be wanting to get home for the postie!

Don’t you hate it when sites put and estimated shipping date based on nothing! So far there is no update from U.K. distributor and I have asked. A lot. Tech 21 mentioned on instagram they have a consignment for U.K. “next month” I suspect it will be soon. They always suggested April as a shipping date, they just made that with US release. I’m sure it’s been a busy, tiring and stressful time for all at tech 21 which echoes in their comments here. I’m sure they have been balls out to make the release date and are touchy if people start picking apart a product they are working hard to release. (Not saying we did but just feel they think that from the response) anywayyyy, it sounds great and should be here soon. The distributor gets product through customs pretty fast and when they arrive they will get them out quickly as they will want to invoice everyone after all! We should all see them around the same time. As soon as I receive them, aside from rolling around on the bed with them, I’ll ship them out to you and let you know. 10th May is, I reckon a guess, but possibly not unrealistic.

Aah, fair enough. That would be stressful. The COGs have a huge amount of sub volume on tap. I’ve found even playing higher on the neck for stability can still yield pretty massive bass depending how you have the sub filter set. that might work. I’ve also found some analogue ones will crap out on a held note unless there’s just a tiny bit vibrato going on to sustain it . I use a COG and an Eventide so I have both analogue and digital. Analogue before dirt, digital after. Works best for me.

So... again I would agree analogue octavers glitching on the 5/7fret range of a G string is common. Don’t feel bad about that. The Octo is a good tracker but the more a builder concentrates on tracking, it can effect the sound in other ways. I think all are a trade off. That’s said there is no one type that fits all. Digital ones track great but to me sound awful. Some work better with a comp in front, some don’t. Playing style, string guage, pickup position all play a part. If you have to change too much, move it on for something else. The odd bit that glitches will probably only bother you, I’ll bet no one in the band even notices.

I wish I had an exciting update for us all, but I don’t. Bah... tech 21 showing piles of the little suckers ready for dispatch but the word is the U.K. distributor still has no confirmed arrival date from them. I have chased this a lot and this was still the word as of yesterday. So be assured as soon as I know something more I’ll post here. Until then, work on the rectangular shaped space you will need on your board.

Hello all, just checking in. Everyone that’s paid so far, thank you. (If you’ve paid your invoice then I’ve received it so no worries.) i checked with the distributor and they are still working to April delivery but haven’t had a confirmation of date as yet. The shimmer on the meris reverb is worth checking but the price is double what you want to pay. On a shoegaze note the hungry robot WASH is fantastic. It’s different from the usual self oscillation stuff.

Correct yes. Temporarily on hold but trying to relaunch with some bonus features this year at some point. Agonising having to start then stop but ultimately it should be better in a new format with more choice. Anyone with a query can get me on [email protected].
