To quote the Goonies, “ HEY YOU GUYS!” So this is happening now. contacted everyone with invoices, no rush till the end of month but some have paid already and therefore hold a special place in my heart. I still have April as the delivery date which is a large window so when I get more accurate dates I’ll update you all. the geddy 2112 pre came with a badge of geddys signature so what does the dUg pre include? A free 12 string? A free six pack? have to wait and see I guess.

@Wolverinebass apologies. You were on my other list. Never have two lists! There’s only one now and you’re on it.

Great transaction with James. Good communication, provided photos and packaged really well. Highly recommended

Hey all.... @Cuzzie @FacStudio @ShaunB @NancyJohnson @cetera @fretmeister @dannybuoy @Sean Aside from Tech21 claiming they are “shipping soon” I’ve had confirmation these are due in U.K. in April. Exciting news! with these numbers so far I would suggest we can knock our basschat price from £270 RRP down to £240 delivered to you. If more add to the list we can maybe do better. I’ll do the preorders at the end of the month so it’s nearer payday for everyone... if you could email me your details to [email protected] I’ll send you a PayPal invoice with my details. BOOM!

@Sean will do. Added you to the list.

Will do @dannybuoy I’ll contact everyone mid March to see where we are with numbers/discounts as they are expected early April. Exciting.... Rentals are not currently an option as Ive taken the site down for now. Trying to organise a deal to bring more product availability for rentals then relaunch bigger/better. Probably won’t be up and running by April but who knows... watch this space.

I’ve had no complaints with the chase bliss stuff so far. The warped vinyl was great but I moved it on as I wasn’t using it in the band at the time. The chorus was good but not a match for the clusterflux. (Nothing is, although the Anadime bass chorus is pretty close) after discovering I was more drawn to trem than vibe I swapped to a Gravitas. The harmonic element is less apparent on bass but the control of the trem parameters is excellent. More choppy than an EQD hummingbird if required. Easy baritone style terms, it can be used as a jfet boost too. Volume control, gain control, tone control so you can actually set it for bass use. Presets! Tap tempo, expression control. That’s without getting into the ramping features. The Brothers is another cool one. 2 boosts, 2 drives, 2 fuzzes all in series or parallel. The IC boost channel is lovely on bass, adds a nice tone to your bass. The drives I was less keen on as they seem more voiced for guitar. The fuzzes are good. It seems to have a particular sound and it works pretty good as a bass pedal but I just found it lacking in bass at times so moved it one. I think some could get good use from one. The tonal recall has many fans, Ive not tried one as the EAR and hungry robot Wash have me covered. The new ones look pretty interesting but I acknowledge £500 gets to a special place of ridiculousness for most people.

I guess it’s tricky to find the drive that has the tone you like and the features. For example, you could add in all sorts of blends and filters but if it doesn’t break up the way you like, it’s pointless. Felt the same about the brimstone crossover distortion. Great features but just not the tone I wanted. Could be fine for others though. I guess that’s why so many builders play it safe with an OD with a blend and a tone. I do sometimes get asked by builders “what do Bass players want?” Regarding a bass OD. Any ideas welcome...

On paper, it should. I had one a while back and just the inherent tone made me move it on. I think definitely voiced for Guitar over bass. Couldn’t really find a use for it.

I don’t have an account with those guys so I’d not be able to help at this point. I can explore it tho. As Quatsmacher says, I’m not offering rentals at the moment due to time constraints but I’m exploring a way of bringing a larger range for rental in the future so watch this space... In the meantime The reverb page is running sales and I’ll put preorders up for the dUg pre soon.

well done gentlemen! lets see who else wants to join the lust list over the next few weeks. By the time we get to March we can see how many are in, therefor what the best discount will be for all. if I order end March then we should be ok for the first delivery to UK.
-
Happy to sort us out. As I said before if we get a list going of how many people want one then I can get a price based on that.
-
I’m sure I could do better than that for us basschatters.
-
But by hooking you in with a great sounding Minotaur you then want more possibilities so then it’s off to get a mother 32, then a DAFM, then.....

I’m guessing he is just very busy with builds. Remember with all the components involved all it takes is a supplier to send the wrong bits and the whole schedule is knackered. It happens. when you emailed him did he say why your build is delayed?

That’s a bummer. I’ve not tried it on mine yet as I’ve just been running a BeatStep through it. I’ll let you know what I find. I did find in a search that others have had the same problem. Most day the moog tech support is very good.

I offer BC people a 10% discount on rentals. That said Ive recently withdrawn the rental website as I’m looking at a new venture to bring a wider range of units available to rent. This will likely take some time but once up and running will be a bigger better beast! In the meantime I have some sales available on my Reverb shop. I’d hope to have some dug units available there once they are available so I’ll update. Any discount will be based on the actual RRP at the time. Alternately if there are say, 10 interested parties for a bulk order we can all do better out of it.

These should ship around April. UK price set to be around £270. Anyone who’s looking for one with a little basschat discount, let me know.

I just got a Le Bass in for rentals today and I’m very impressed. Not had a long time with it so it may take little while to dial in all the possibilities. I’ve tried many of the usual suspects over the years and I’m still fully in favour of the Pike Vulcan XL. It’s actually pretty similar to the Le Bass but so far I prefer Pikes voicing Theres two options between a B15 midrange type and a slightly more scooped modern OD. (Bit like le bass) I find the EQ is voiced very well for me. It’ll do bright and crisp or full and dark, or both. You don’t get one at the expense of the other and the basic tone is just great. Ive had the darkglass and sansamps and sold them on. The COG Knightfall is great too but the EQ on the Pike... Recently tried a Dr Scientist Elements on Bass which works great, has an EQ and a blend. i have a rusty box on the way which I tried recently. Also very impressive and not short of bass. If you’re happy with Le Bass but can’t get enough bass from the two EQs then maybe just add some more bottom end with a blend pedal or something like the KMA Tyler ? (if there’s room on the board)

Lightweight power amp like the matrix or GSS baby sumo? 1000w to 600w of choice.

Use one pedal when you could use two? Where’s your sense of adventure?

Should be here next week to add to the other KMA stuff. Looking forward to trying it. I’ll have a look at Demon. Continuing with the German builders I have some Red Sun fX fuzzes on the way.
