  1. I think the Octron has the best dirty analogue octave up. A proper jack White squeal to it. Ultimately I use a T65 because the bass goes louder than the octron and is more flexible. One thing I've yet to try is putting the earthquaker tentacle in the clean loop of the T65. Overdriven sound into T65 with its octave up plus the tentacle and a bit of octave down can't go wrong. Tom would probably tweak one if needed. He sent me some different caps to put in mine to make the octave up less filtered, more noisey.
  2. If it is the valves, If you speak to MATAMP they will tell you that they have been using gold lions for a while but recently some of them have been poor. Similar case with the JJs. They should be able to advise you on what's a good option/available currently. Personally I would stick with the 88s and avoid the 120s. MATAMP don't offer 120s any more due to reliability.

  8. For sale is one of the recent limited run of Baby Thundaa in an aged etched finish. Almost new condition as it has Velcro on the bottom but hardly used, it's a spare. Essentially a stripped down version of the Eau Clare Thunder. Comes with box and all paperwork. Now £130.00 shipped.   9. There's space to fit a power amp in there and it would still be a light amp. I thought about it but after pairing it with a CA6 I had I never got any further.

  11. Octron tracks well and upper octave is killer. t65 has better more flexible low end and effects loop to mix in parallel sounds. Depends if you want nasty octave (octron/ Cog) or clean octave(Boss MXR) I guess.
