John East J-RETRO 01 Bass Pre amp The John East J-Retro 01 pre amp fits into a regular Jazz Bass, without the need for a separate battery compartment--- it lies flat below the tone knob. It is a solderless connection into the 2 small green boxes below the neck pickup controls. The green on the jack wire is an earth, so this will connect to the earth wire from the Bridge. Fender Jazz in stunning metallic red in beautiful condition. Serial number MX10203264 so it’s a Mexican 2010 model. It has been upgraded with a John East J-RETRO 01 Which retails at £191! It sounds phenomenal! Plus USA Pickups. It’s a Jazz Bass on steroids! There are a few surface scratches but nothing much. It’s been well set up. The truss rod has been adjusted to give a nice low action and is very comfortable to play. The frets have been levelled and polished and the intonation is spot on. Happy to post at buyers expense.
