2. But even better than that - meet the Tropical Moon Allstars http://tropicalmoonmusic.com/tropical_moon...c_allstars.html
 3. Check this out -they have a website with demos for some of the instruments http://tropicalmoonmusic.com/demo__Flying_...ing_Lizard.html
 4. just realised I should have posted this in the wanted section
 5. Probably a bit of a long shot but it's always worth asking. I have an 80's supertstrat style guitar (in hot pink - how glam rock is that!!!!!!) that I'm currently in the process of resurrecting. Problem is the locking trem is completely knackered. I'm after a cheap replacement, as it's not a particulary expensive guitar and not really worth throwing a lot of money at - that said however it did play amazingly well when I first aquired it, so it'd be a shame for it to sit around gathering dust for any longer (i've been putting off fixing it for about 2 years now) If anyone has/knows of anything that might be suitable let me know. Cheers Chris
 6. I currently play through an Ashdown ABM 210 combo and absolutely love the sound it gives. I can honestly say I have never sounded better. But saying that I found myself ampless not that long ago and borrowed a Hartke HA5500, VX410 and VX115 and managed to get an awesome sound out of this rig - in fact I was pretty close to buying one myself, but got a great deal on the Ashdown. I reckon you can't really go wrong (in my opinion) with either brand - I'd try out both to see what you like best.
 7.
+1 to that. However... If it's been the shop demo I'd be pissed off. If it's been in its box in the shop I'd be delighted. You did good to get a UK made one, most importantly!
I reckon you're right - and I've decided I love the sound. It Rocks
 8. Does any one want this? - if I don't sell it I'm going to have to bin it as it's taking up space I need
 9. Hi All, I recently (like 2 weeks ago) bought a "brand new" ABM500 MKII 210 combo from my local large music store - Turns out that it was actually made in 2005 which means it was made in England, rather than China. I don't really know how I feel about this. On one hand I'm kinda pissed off that the amp that I bought as "new" has actually been sat around in the shop for over 3 years, but on the other I'm glad that it's English made. What do you guys reckon? Thanks Chris
 10.
Hi mate, how much for the interface and Cubase please?
I was looking for 60 quid
 11.
Still waiting for a reply on this. Is it because you're not sure if you want to split them?
Sorry, I haven't had a chance to check on the postage yet - I should be able to give you an amount by tommorow.
 12.
I don't know where you are - if you're around stoke/staffs I can pick up? EDIT: Can you confirm that the mic stand is metal and doesn't have those plastic tighteners that always break?
Unfortunately I'm in Reading
 13.
£50 for the mic stand and lead? How about shipping? I'm looking for a bargain
50 is about what I was looking for - I will check on shipping as I have no idea what it will cost.
 14.
I'd only know by doing the same as you - checking on eBay I suppose... Sorry - that's not much help...! (You'll likely know that model was the standard DAT in a lot of studios back in the day - and you're right it must be around 20 years old - so difficult to say how much life it's got left in it...as it could have done a lot of miles if it lived in a commercial studio. And if anything goes wrong with them they nowadays they have to go in the skip as they cost a small fortune to get repaired - even if you can find the parts.) I reckon I'd accept 50 quid
 15.
Been mountain biking round that way (from Watlington) a fair few times - that's a nice place to live.... Do you have a price in mind...?
I haven't - I was going to check what they go for on Ebay but haven't got round to it yet. I guess the next question would be what you would consider a fair price to be?
 16.
Sorry, I'll have to look up the mic etc, i'll get back to you tomorrow here. Any specifics on the stand please?
not with me - I'll PM you with some more detail when I get home from work.
 17.
I'm interested.... Can I ask where are you based Chris? Thanks
I'm in Sonning Common - just outside Reading.
 18.
If you decide to split i'll take the mic and stand. Are you selling any cables? I could do with some cheap xlrs.
I might be tempted to split - how much would you be willing to pay for the mic, stand and an XLR?
 19.
Is this a 19" version or a portable? Also how many hours use do you think the heads have had?
It's 19" although I don't have the rack mount ears. I have absolutely no Idea how many hours the heads have had. As far as I know these were one of the first DAT recorders Sony made in the late 80's - I picked it up second hand a few years ago and used it a fair bit for about six months or so and since then it's been sat Idle - Your guess is as good as mine how much use it had in the first part of it's life.
 20. Hi All I'm having a bit of a clear out of some old studio stuff and I've got this Sony DAT player that needs to go. It all seems to be in working order, although I currently don't have any DAT tapes to test it fully with - it was always super reliable when I used to use it. Any offers? Cheers Chris
 21. All items have now been sold. Hi All, I am having a clear out of my studio at home and I am selling the following: Tascam US122 2 Channel audio interface and Cubase LE - I will also throw in a load of plug ins I have. Fostex PM04 powered monitors Behringer B1 large diaphragm condensor mic & stand All still with original boxes/manuals etc and as new - they have hardly been used. 200 quid o.n.o for the lot or possible swap/px for a cab (looking for an extension cab for my combo at the moment) Cheers Chris
 22. thought I better introduce myself.... My names Chris, I've been playing bass for around seven years or so, although I took a break about 3 years ago sold all my gear and wound up playing guitar in a few different bands. I'm back on the bass now (Ibanez EDB700 through an Ashdown ABM 500 Evo II 2 x 10 combo) and loving every minute of it. You can check my band out at Within our Rights. Cheers Chris
