1. This is my new baby - a 1980 Yamaha SG1000 (same age as me!!!). I am so chuffed with this guitar - just set it up to my liking and it plays amazingly and sounds sooo good . Also in the pics is my Laney VC50 which I just picked up for a really good price and my pedalboard (which is a bit of a work in progress at the moment). Sorry for the quality of the pics but I'm without a decent camera at the monent.
2.
Im not sure, the serial number is FC0600912 if thats any help? Is there a way to tell otherwise?
If the serial number starts with an "F" then it is made in Korea.
3. Will bought my 'Ray - great guy to deal with and even drove to bracknell to pick it up so I didn't have to go too far out of my way.
4. I really like the look of this http://kent.gumtree.com/kent/33/58453133.html - what do you guys reckon? Worth the money?
5. Sorry guys - looks like this is sold!
6.
What about something like this... I have a Washbirn Idol similar to this but its a solid black coloured body and the maple neck has got ebony inlays.
What model exactly?
7.
What sort of guitar are you looking for ?
Ideally something les paulish but I'm fairly open to suggestions!
8. This is now on hold for someone locally.
9. I'm selling my ABM combo to fund some other purchases - it's a cracking amp and one of the last made in this country before production went to China. It's in pretty much perfect nick with just a few small marks in the covering (and you have to look quite hard to find these) - The EQ on it is super useful and don't beleive what people say about these amps, It can go from nice and clean to real vintage type tones - no wool in sight!! I can't upload any pics at the moment as the amps stored at the in-laws house - but I'll try and get some uploaded later (although to be honest they all look the same ) . Pricewise I think £425 would be fair - not really after trades (except for maybe a decent valve guitar amp) as a cheeky bonus I'll even throw in a 15" extension cab. it's a home made cab and isn't that pretty to look at - but the speaker is decent and sounds good. It certainly compliments the combo and lets you get the full 575 watts out of it. Although to be honest this amp doesn't really need it - it is plenty loud!! I would prefer collection only, especially with the extension cab - although I suppose I could deliver within a reasonable distance of Reading/Oxford for the cost of petrol.
10. Yes it's still for sale/trade - I've had a load of trade offers but nothing that's really taken my fancy.
11. I really miss this bass - if only I had the money to buy it back
12. Undo the 4 screws in the top under the little covers and the amp will just slide out.
13. Still lookin
14. 15.
What are the narrowest neck 5 and 6 string basses? I've had a few 5s and a few 6s in my time and although I've loved having the range my fretting hand always cramps up quickly on wide necks (A warwick purchase was particularly stupid) - so what are the options? I'm not that bothered about the depth of the neck - just that the nut string spacing is nice and narrow. ta
Necks on Ibanez sr series basses are pretty skinny.
16.
you wouldnt be interested in a 5string Sandberg Umbo in Emerald green? its been factory relic'd also.....
Sorry mate - not really my sort of thing
17.
Hi mate, where in Bucks are you? I am moving to Maidenhead soon. ped
You don't want to do that !!- I'm from Maidenhead originally and I spent the first 18years of my life trying to escape. Hobgoblins a good pub though.
18. Another Bump - would now take £700 for this or trade for 5 string Warwick or Spector.
19. Can't believe this still hasn't gone!! Potential trades include Warwicks, Fender Jazz's (must be white/tort), Spector's etc. might trade for the right 5 string as it would be useful for my new band but nothing without frets (love the sound but have no use for fretless at the moment).
20.
how much would a T-40 have to be 1980? i have a non rail pickuped one in natural
It wouldn't really HAVE to be - is it good condition with the case etc. Any chance of pics?
21.
Hi, Your probably not interested but I have a 2008 USA Fender Jazz in excellent condition with original Fender Hardcase? Cheers, Steve.
Hi Steve, I'll have to have a think about that one - what colour is it?
