  1. As a bloke playing £1000 plus basses I've been well impressed with 2 Squiers ,A vm jazz 4 and a 5er .Top quality build and sound
  2. Waterfall in those rehearsals sounds like heyday Simon and Garfunkel .The drums and those backing vocals are amazing
  3. Limbo land I suppose .Remember the comeback and thinking, his voice will be shot and it will all be a bit lacklustre .Far from it
  4. Had my 75 jazz from 1983 until 2006 ,pretty much my main bass all that time Sold it because I needed the money for company shares .They've gave me 10 fold back and I realised the bass wasn't the wonderful thing I thought it was Now nothing is more than a guitar to use and enjoy and sell if I so wish .
  5. On Channel 4 at the mo,on catch up I was around when they were in the 90s and liked the stuff I heard without being a devotee I was genuinely surprised watching this at how good a band they were /are .Some great rehearsal footage and Mani's sound is too die for .Using old Epiphones and tasty Boogie rigs .Lovely rumble on my TV set up Worth a watch ,great live jam near the end at the Heaton park gig .Mani really holding it all down
  6. I like the "where is it" aspect of my Bassblock .Especially when it disappears into my leads bag
  7. Zillions of fenders out there ,plus people have more than one bass and will change quite often .More so than amps perhaps ?
  8. Main problem for me is I hate the look .Just looks tacky and cheap (in my opinon of course )
  9. New price £1200
  10. Price drop £1300
  11. 3rd gig of weekend yesterday 4pm ,what is usually the smallest bar we play turned into the lovely garden area out the back Our lovely rig will have been reverberating around the Durham hills and valleys
  12. 😊,I'm getting on now so I'm past regrets ,my gig to basses owned ratio is a bit skewiff but you have a point It's coming out tonight for a Zep /Ac/dc show
  13. Gary Moore Empty rooms another good one for pace and slides
  14. This is a great song to play Easy ,nice tempo and lovely slides to the notes Rather than peer at the neck listen for the note landing on that slide I play unlined purely for looks and mostly for fun
  15. They are If other stuff sells first it's staying put Needs must
  16. Easter bump Open to sensible offers
  17. Few trade offers but still for sale
  18. Very similar to a 75 I had ,great profile and the finish is spot on
  19. As said,i've rarely used the active Treble and Bass boost .Prefer the boost tap on my Tonebone or just digging in as i'm a light player
  20. Pre vtc. Yeah quite heavy ..the plus of that is the tone Wide strap keeps everything right
  21. Straight sale Arguably the best off the shelf Fender Jazz on the market .Created with Geddy combining the best of his 3 favourite jazz basses . It's the dog that barks when anyone goes near it ! One of a nice collection I've been building up and time to let someone drop some jaws with it Nice Geddy logo to finish the look Great condition with one blemish to the headstock Recent new round wounds Hard to pick up on used market No trades as funds will go towards a new motorbike Comes with Deluxe Fender case I will cover shipping to UK mainland at the asking price Happy to meet within reasonable distance Thanks
  22. Straight sale Gorgeous 2006 model .Ash body I believe ,maple neck ,medium frets Owned since 2013 and immediately became my go to gigging bass . I play Rock covers ,around 20 gigs a year and these things are a sound man's dream Clean ,deep, rich tones right across the fingerboard Hardly ever used the active side ,I just roll on the volume and tweak my radial Di box between songs. Single volume then a pot for pick up mix and the sound change is instant giving you loads to play with .Treble and bass boost are other two with one a pull pot for active Great condition with usual wear to pick guard and some pub scars on the headstock Not easy basses to find on the used UK market I've played Jazz basses 37 years and I've got myself a Spector euro and with limited gigging days left I fancy a change No trades as funds will go towards a new motorbike Comes with Sadowsky semi hard case I will cover shipping to UK mainland at the asking price I have some vids I can forward to interested buyers Happy to meet within reasonable distance FINANCES SORTED ,ON HOLD COS I LOVE IT
  23. Apart from bands all starting from the ground zero there's years of stuff/habits/attitudes etc that's been allowed to develop and its generally its a leopard/spots job Even with new ventures despite saying we wont do this and that it starts happening .Drummers don't like being called out and guitar players only want you as a small embellishment of them .The band i'm happy in now was a case of getting my feet in the door then dropping stuff in when the conversation went that way and it seems to work
  24. She quoted Gabriel for "opening the windows" on Never Forever and she moved into using sounds to form ideas almost dropping the musical life she'd had to that point
