Peavey amps and cabs ,everyone upgrades at some point but they know in their hearts there was nothing wrong with what you had still got my peavey tmax 500 amp head (white front ),what a noise

Always had tasty gear His early wooly Ibanez sound was a bit odd on the live stuff but still a great live band

That's our usual rate and i often do the numbers .The allowance in pub chains budgets does happen but i've also spoke to pub managers who say if i dont get bands on that night it can be empty,so it can sometimes be a break even situation to keep the pub in peoples minds as a place to be .

My AP jazz neck fretted neck with block inlays has been on a MIJ jazz fretless,a Squier VM and now is on a Mexican body ,all great fits and a top quality neck

Had a craving for a Black Precision ,maple board being an old Stranglers fan not much about ,few USA new ones on used wanting high prices opted for a Player precision ,brand new ,changed pick guard for the look love it ,sub £700 I Have a spector euro4 ,and mij metro sadowsky and a Ric and the Player is taking them on for me at the moment

I.m the other way My Sadowsky and Ric rarely leave the case at home .Gigs only Then whatever i fancy playing at home ,bitsa jazz,Fender player etc

You'll get a Euro 4lx for that budget (used) Great tones on tap though the G string doesnt cut through the mix as much as my MIJ Metro Sadowksy .

Agree on Mick Numan was only a year after Tin drum but its clear the sound he went for wasn't co incidence or spontaneous

i always found it easy to sound great in the house. .There's zero elements to spoil it . I like dabbling with pedals ,you can overdrive without getting lost or losing bottom end etc ,wack the treble right up or all gain to give you geddy . The problems for me are replicating that low volume tone at high levels

They only exist on price ,they weren't produced so you can buy from your favourite country . Nyc prices are too far for a massive majority of the market

Great quality and i could look at the gear and the background all day but i seem to be in a minority in not enjoying then just goof everytime the camera shows up .Couldn't do 2 hours .

They've had their moments and the early stuff had great bass/drum combos Love my YouTube nights on tv,live studio performance type stuff where the bass can be heard

couple of my new finds have great Bass guys check out you tube in house live stuff on Oh Sees and Angus and Julia Stone awesome tone on the bass side

Doing no harm to the value of my 2006 Metro Don't think i'd ever sell it but i paid well under current value

My take is a well built bass will have a natural clear and precise ability to give you the best possible result from plucking a string . Its bottom end will be more than just a noise amplified from a string resonating. I too have to sometimes contain sustain .Is that not an EQ Thing though ?,where a guitars electrics may not be a perfect match for what the unplugged instrument produces ?

4th post covid gig last Saturday First two were outdoors last two indoors the indoor pubs didn't put any info on facebook and supposedly it was tickets but i'd say it wasn't inside ,yes the have the signs and the tape and the arrows etc but its business as usual from what i see 1st gig we loaded through a rear door so i just kept my distance 2ng gig dragging gear through the bar
