Alternatives to velcro on a pedal? Also a good chorus pedal?

It was a seller called themadape. It was listed as free shipping worldwide. I also wanted a phase 90, so he combined postage and shipped both for free. Thanks for the replies. Has anyone got any other recommendations for good quality patch leads without getting too pricey?

I'm putting a pedal board together and found these adaptors http://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_adapter_bodeneffekte_gerade.htm I'm wondering how these things would compare with a good patch cable as there's no cable to worry about in terms of signal quality? Obviously there are other issues, such as pedals being too close together etc, but does anyone use these? Thanks

I've just ordered the MXR Bass Chorus Delux from ebay, USA free delivery at under £110 ;-) -
Yeah Snowy White played bass on the In The Flesh Tour on Pigs and Sheep. Waters played electric rhythm guitar on those. I think a lot of us would struggle to sing those with the commitment required, and play those basslines. Waters did used to play the bass on 'Raving and Drooling' (the early versions of what became Sheep from the '74 tour thro to '76).

And I agree about Roger Waters' bass playing. It's simple, but exactly what many of the songs required. I don't really go for the post Waters Floyd, "A Momentary Lapse" and "The Division Bell" to me are way off pace of those 70's masterpieces. Anyway, that bass line and bass tone on Pigs (Three Different Ones) is awesome. You should check it out if you haven't done so already.
I dunno. As a live act, I think Floyd did OK since Roger left.
LOL - yes, they did 'OK' financially ;-)

I kind of think it was intentional as a bit of a 'F... you Waters - look at us - we've got a proper bass player now', but it upset the balance and backfired I guess.

Yeah - there's a noticeable difference in the sound when Guy played the P bass, more true to the original material rather than the funky / slap tones of DSOT. My favourite era was from '73-80. I love Waters' lyrics and Gilmours playing from that period. I'd say Animals is my favourite album, probably of any artist.

Guy Pratt, good bass player and funny guy as he is didn't fit right for me on bass in the Floyd. In a way he was too good. Know what I mean?

I guess sheep is an mxr 90 on the bass? what do you use? - That's gilmour on bass too apparently on the album. Waters plays a rhythm guitar low in the mix on that track. That Pigs bass tone almost sounds like the timbre of a pig squeal - really clever stuff. To me it's not quite dry though, there's something else there

...must be one of my favourite Floyd songs when it comes to bass. I think it's Gilmour rather than Waters playing, on a fretless P bass I believe. Anyone familiar with the song - do you think there's a subtle effect on the bass? possibly a bassballs or a phaser MXR 90 perhaps? There's a drop down after the 2nd chorus which builds, and the bass there is fantastic. It's a simple chord structure but the slides and subtle changes as it picks up are great.

Yeah still up for sale - I'm in no hurry to sell so not going down the flea bay route just yet. This bass has served me so well - the neck is slightly discoloured from the many hours of playing but it has been regularly treated with lemon oil. Once or twice I've treated / sealed it with gunstock oil & wax (at the advice of Ernie Ball Inc). Frets are still in great condition. It has a really low action and is currently fitted with D'Addario nickels.

So I've decided to part with my stingray. It's been a tough decision but I need the cash to fund some new gear. I've been playing a 5 string jazz for the last couple of years and this lovely bass deserves a better home. It comes with a case. As described in the topic line. it's a 1994 (serial number is 42988) - produced 12/10/94. 2 eq version. Has one dink on the body -(see photo).
