    I don't have any scales, but as the body is basswood it is very light, and super comfy to play if you're standing up for a few hours. I'd say most of the weight is in the neck… it has some of that T'Bird "dive" thing going on.

    Sorry if this has already been answered or if this is in the wrong place. I'm using rounds a lot more now but I have a bass that's ad flats on it for about a year now and I wanna put some rounds on it. So if I wanted to re-use some flats at a later date… what would be a good storage method? Could I just use the package the new strings came in? Are there any corrosion risks, or damage risks due to being under different tension while in storage?

    500 Racks

    adamlunt posted a topic in Amps and Cabs

    I've been looking at those little 500 series racks for home recording etc. I figured a couple of compressor modules (1176/LA-2A vibe), nice EQ section (Neve-ish?), nice preamp in there as well, maybe a speaker-sim/DI or whatever; should work pretty well. My question is, has anyone ever used one of these in a live situation (ie at a gig)? In lieu of an amp, like literally... BASS ---> RACK ---> MIXER

    Mind you… if you're using a harsh distortion/fuzz and an overdrive/preamp you could use it one of two ways Fuzz first - The preamp/overdrive will make it louder as its boosting the signal after the Fuzz Fuzz second - The overdrive will send more signal to the Fuzz causing more saturation I favour the latter of the two because I don't crank my distortions all the way up. They're more for colouring my clean sound.
