Please do, it's gorgeous and plays superbly.................no reduction in price possible sadly, as it comes with a tweed, hard case which is worth about £60 in it's own right - so the bass then becomes INCREDIBLY cheap.....!!! defo a bargain..........................trust me, I'm a bass player!!!!

Here for sale we have a unique bass guitar, a Bernie Goodfellow 'Nightingale', 5 string, serial number 001, which according to Bernie when I spoke to him recently, was the prototype for his famous 'Rumour' series. It is a very lovely bass, beautifully crafted (as you would expect from Mr G) with a thru neck, 2 Bartolini soapbar pick-ups, and wooden handled tuners. It is light for a 5 string so saves on sore shoulders and backache..........) It comes with a Stagg soft case, and will be boxed for transit with lots of bubble wrap. Selling this, as I now have a 5 string rumour.........which is awesome!!! Offers around £1700 please (I paid more for it seven months ago)!! Once again, thinning down the 'collection, so no offers of trades please. I am based in Essex - and you are welcome to come and try it out if you PM me to arrange..........thanks

GreeneKing - you collect 100 Basschat points..........it was indeed - his name is on the original registration card.....................like I said, this is an awesome beast and has a complete history in terms of documents - plus......a 'pictorial build log' (which Dawn told me (forcibly) - they will never do again - coz it was sooooo much hassle, even then, and now they are producing many more basses per year - it's just not practical !!!!) so - this is one unique baby - a piece of British bass history.................come on - you know you want it....................!!!

OK Guys............apols for saying the site is sh1t........ it was after extreme frustration trying to load pics to let all you lovely people see the basses I have for sale - let's face it an ad w/o pics is not too helpful??? so as you all seem to think I need help with this (and maybe you are right, as so far it has not gone too well), would one of you be kind enough to leave me 'idiot proof' instx as to how I should go about using photobucket................?? I should be eternally grateful.....thanks

I tried it and got this comment......"You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." WTF..................??? - this basschat site seems like a loady..............???? -
This is the first custom headless archtop Empathy 5 string bass made by rob Green and his team at Status. It has all the paperwork from Status basses, and also a 'one off' photographic record of the build. It was completed on 28th June 1999, and is an astonishing bass. It comes in the original Status (Hiscox) case, and is a beauty to add to anyone's collection. Two reasons I am selling it (1) I am thinning out the collection, but more importantly (2) I took delivery in the summer, of a new series 2 headless from Status, and there's no point in having two...!! (although this is a different model, it is very similar) . This one has a gorgeous 'Pacific Blue' finish, but it looks more green than blue, but absolutely unusual and stunningly good looking! It is up for £1300 (ono), and I am in Essex. Again I am cursed with not being able to upload any pics - WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS SITE!!! - but if you PM me, with an email address, I will be happy to supply as many as you would like.

Overwater 'Progress III Custom Deluxe' fretted 5 string bass

Here we have a beautiful Overwater Progress III, through neck , Custom Deluxe fretted 5 string bass. It has all the usual Overwater controls (volume, pick up pan, three way EQ and dual inputs, Neutrix jack and XLR. It has unusual inlays on the neck which make it look a little bit special, it was made in February 2005 and is in pristine condition. It comes with a (well used, but still functional) Stagg soft case (not a gig bag - a rectangular case). The actual bass has not been gigged by me since I purchased it about 6 months ago............I just don't get on with it - it's me not the bass, trust me, these are class hand made instruments. I am looking for something in the region of £1300, (and taking a loss on what I paid) but am open to negotiations. For some strange reason the site will not let me upload pics, so if you PM me, with your email address, I will happily send you detailed ones.

Fantastic bass guitar....dozens of bass guitars in one!!! It has the feel and looks of a Fender 'jazz' bass, and will give you the sounds of at least 24 famous iconic bass guitars. Plus you can dial in your own personal sounds with the blend and tone controls. A session bassist I know says he uses his all the time, and on the acoustic and fretless settings he can play rock concerts or studio work....all with the same bass guitar....it's brilliant. Line 6 don't make them any longer which makes them quite rare and desirable. This one is in mint condition, with no issues. Also included is the XPS-DI footswich, power unit & AC adaptor, plus the 27 page Variax bass 'pilot's handbook'.
