2. I've recently acquired this and can only tell you what I know. Well used and gigged but all working. Came from a working musician who has moved to guitar. Sounds well in conjunction with an Ibanez Promethean combo as the extension and on its own with the head. Cosmetically challenged you might say but drivers look and sound in good order. Horn works too. Tolex is damaged in quite a few places but is more or less complete and will glue back down (dont have anything in at the moment) and the remnants of the gaffa thats been holding it on needs removing etc. Has all its feet and was told replacement handles were fitted. Now got some spray glue so will glue down what I can. 250w at 8ohm 60 x 44 x 40cm approx One hand lift but handle on either side for ease. Will do my best to protect speakers and backplate.
3.
It does look very like a stingray, no doubt. Does it sound like one though ? How's it for slap bass ?
Sounds Ray to me! I dont play slap myself but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for anyone that did.
4. Really nice Musicman Stingray clone. I traded it recently on here for my silver series jazz. Although its a great bass I need to sell to fund a 22/24 fret bass. The decals are applied really well. I'm sure this has come from a clone manufacturer and not a copy with a decal. Has a Seymour Duncan basslines pickup and controls upgraded with a Ki0gon kit. It plays really nicely and sounds very well. Weighs in at 4.6kg on my digital scales. Not really any damage or nicks. Just a small bit on the top edge of the headstock. Would trade with cash (amount depending on condition etc) your way for a Westone Thunder 3. Would consider a Thunder 2 or anything 4 string with 22/24 frets. 5. For sale or trade. £800. Was on hold for a BCer but I've not heard from him for a few days so back up for sale. Olympic white with maple fretboard. The paintwork has gone a creamy yellow over time and looks well with its original white plate.I believe the neck and body are 79 based on the weight of the body and the corresponding date with the neck. The pickups are dated 81 as is the etch on the back of the pickguard. I believe it was assembled in 81 using older parts, a practice that was common at the time. Knocks and some fretwear that are consistent with a gigging bass of its age. Plenty of pictures supplied but if any more are needed please let me know. The bass plays well and sounds great. Weighs in at 5.1kg on my digital scales and is 42mm at the nut. Very old school. Its for sale as I need to fund a 22/24 fret bass. I'm looking for a Westone Thunder 2 or preferably a 3 plus cash adjustment or another bass as well if you have no money! Perhaps a Fender Jazz Deluxe. Any 22/24 fret bass considered as long as the upper frets are accessible for a player with shorter fingers! Just let me know what you have. I may even be interested in something else that I could sell on to raise the funds. Sorry but 4 strings only... 6. Didn't sell at £10. How low should the starting price be then?
7.
Shame, its got the right amount of frets Id take £265 for it to get this , but good luck
It is a pity but it's a bit weird for me!
8.
Trade for a Hohner B2A ?
Hi, thanks for the offer but the Hohner isn't for me. Cheers Dunc
9. Restrung with La Bella's roundwounds which would set you back £40. These have seen about an hours play if that. The bass itself has only had 3 or 4 hours play altogether. No damage. I bought it for a project that I now need a 22 or 24 fret 4 string for! It's been hanging on the wall like an ornament and so I've decided to sell to fund the bass needed. Price plus postage or you can always collect or could meet up at a reasonable distance. May trade for a 22-24 bass, small bass combo or micro head. I'm not at home at the moment but will get pics up ASAP.
10. Why did he put on new WIlkinson and Fender parts, then set fire to them?
11.
It looks kinda unhappy to me....
It's a very sad bass...
12. It's probably worth it as the lacquer isn't crackled like most.
13. I'm sure one sold on eBay in excess of £300 last year. I would buy it myself but unfortunately it doesn't have enough frets for what I need...
14.
lots of us have, but unless you're selling a fake Rolex Ebay don't seem to care.
Too true. Fender don't seem to care either!
15. Reported it to eBay as a fake and for copyright infringement. Hopefully they will do something before the auction ends!
16. They made great guitars... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231335964338
