1. Wonderful basses. I cant recommend these enough. An absolute bargain!
 2.
We'll need a standard doc added to the the team I guess. Man this is becoming a big project :-) CB PS: Bump :-)
I'm sure he will be back in business soon. It says in the link that someone has spoken to him recently. Get well soon Bass Doc.
 3. Hi, I'm sure its 34 but for some reason I always call it the little Precision? I will have a check when I get home Sunday. The original thread where I got it from is here - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/220929-trade-agreed-squier-1990-japanese-precision/page__p__2267763__hl__japanese%20squier__fromsearch__1#entry2267763 If you read it I have got a couple of things wrong and will update the thread. The thread says its a 1990 and it has Fender 62 pickups and its copper shielded. Bonus!
 4. Hi, thanks for that. I cant see instruments or electrical items on their restricted list - http://www.dpd.co.uk/content/product-services/restricted_items.jsp I will email them tomorrow and verify that instruments etc are covered with their insurance. I'm a bit paranoid with it as I've had an item gone missing. Even though myhermes had obtained a signature from the recipient for an item I sold on ebay, the buyer then said they had not received it. Ebay refunded the money via paypal to them, myhermes wouldn't pay the insurance as they had proof of delivery and the item was never seen again! The next time they absolutely trashed a guitar beyond repair. When I tried to claim, I found out that musical instruments, electrical goods etc etc etc are not covered. Hence being very skeptical of couriers! Phew! Cheers.
 5.
How much to post to Brighton, UK ?
I cant see it costing more than a tenner sending via the usual companies but thats probably not insured as most places don't insure amps. Check out - https://www.myhermes.co.uk/help/carry-guide.html I don't really want to do it that way as I've had a couple of disasters that way with myhermes specifically. However, I will send it that way with a company of your choice if you are willing to take the risk. At the moment I'm trying to find a reputable company that will insure and courier instruments and amps but as yet haven't found one I'm happy with. You could also get your own fully insured quote that includes electrical items such as amps etc and pay exactly what it is and have the assurance that if anything goes wrong you wont lose out. I'm away from home until Sunday so I cant measure it and weigh it to get an exact quote either way. When I get back I will package it and post the dimensions. Cheers
 6. need a fiver Give you a tenner.
 7. I have the Ibanez setup with the matching extension. I am more than happy with it but in an ever ending search for a truly compact and portable rig I have been wondering about perhaps moving the Promethean along for an Aer. The Promethean would probably suit my needs on its own without the extension but i always take it just incase. As I believe the Aer doesn't have an extension out would it be a suitable single unit alternative? We don't rehearse very often and only gig with PA support. 3 vocals, 2 guitars, 1 bass and drummer. We basically play Clash songs at the moment. The drummer is not heavy handed but not a mouse either. Has anybody compared the two? Cheers Dunc
 8.
Hiya, might you be interested in a trade for my ead 212 with cash my way?
Very nice offer but alas I am skint... Thanks

 10.
I've contacted The Bass Doc to see if he can help. Will post his reply.
I believe The Bass Doc isn't so good at the moment http://basschat.co.uk/topic/237256-bass-doc/page__p__2455012__hl__the%20bass%20doc__fromsearch__1#entry2455012 Will post any reply asap.
 11.
Always been tempted to try one of these. How are they with a Jazz bass?
Sounds good with my Silver Series. I only have a 10" extension cab here but you are welcome to come and try and perhaps bring your own cab. I'm in Blackburn Lancs bb22sh.
 12.
What are these people thinking when they do stuff like this?? http://www.ebay.co.u...=p2056016.l4276
I'm thinking Pyromania! 53 pictures???
 13.
The nut width on these is 1.59 whereas the standard P is 1.62 so not a lot in it in terms of the nut width but these have a different neck to the standard p. If you like a telebass this one is a winner - I was the owner before Damon and got the black and tort plat made to mimic the Lakland 51p bass plate - no we fancy curls just a straight cut running past the P p/up. These are really good solid P basses and you wouldn't know the green day connection as they have tastefully chosen not to whack tacky inlays etc on it. A great addition to anyone arsenal!
Thanks for the input Krispn.
 14.
Wonder how easy it would be to find a luthier to refinish this neck in black/lacquer with a nice silver Fender Tele Bass Special logo. Hmm. I think I'm based too far North for that. CB
I've contacted The Bass Doc to see if he can help. Will post his reply.
 15. Looks quite nice http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/yamaha-bb414-bass-guitar-with-padded-gig-bag/1066210577
 16. Considerably cheaper than before. I'm not sure its worth the starting price though... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bass-guitar-body-PUNK-ROCK-RELIC-80s-sunburst-/360952379272?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item540a703788
 17.
Here's an offer for you... - source a full width neck with rosewood board and tele head - have your luthier resist the urge to reshape - and have him instead paint the rear and headstock black, apply a silver logo, and then lacquer I'll give you a good price for this Duff McDirnt Cloudburst Tele Bass Special. You can even keep the tort plate and sell to someone else :-) CB
Umm, that sounds like a quest!
