There's loads of little 1x10 combos now with a DI that are more than capable of providing adequate monitoring for the whole band. I'm not so sure about an 8" though. Ibanez, Redsub, Harley Benton (500w versions getting harder to find), Ashdown, Mark etc. Any of these should solve your issues.

Hi Bob. I dont think you can, well I've never been able to. I've read of other folk having the same problem too. I just usually put the new price in the title or in the post. Hope this helps. Cheers Dunc
And CityLink once put a 'you were not at home and we could not deliver' card through my letterbox while I was standing in my hall. By the time I had opened the door the guy was speeding off down the road.
Ah ha! Your Avatar! The first time that I ever saw that pic was today! -

Could you get it any more wrong?
With a bit of judicious use of spacers, he could make that into a 5-string guitar for people with big hands.
-
Affinity P bass. May split if enough interest. The bass is in good shape with virtually no scratches etc. Theres nothing notable, maybe a couple of surface scratches. The strings are rusty around the pickups and a couple of the poles have a bit of surface rust. The previous owner told me that the pickups buzz. After tightening up the volume and tone controls (they were very loose) everything is fine. Photos at- http://s871.photobuc...r?sort=3&page=1 Will ship with neck off. I'm not sure of a price but it should be about £15.00 or collect from Blackburn BB2. Cheers Dunc
He must mean that it's missing a saddle (it's only got five), not a bridge.
I really must get my eyes tested... -
In all fairness, it is a very rare 6-string bass with a remarkably short scale ...
With a bridge? Or is it photoshopped? -
Cheap wireless bass/guitar sistem. Should i buy it?
itsmedunc replied to borxas's topic in General Discussion
I got a wireless system ages ago. I thought it would solve all my problems. It didn't. It caused more. More wires, batteries, still carried spare leads etc. Did my head in quickly and I sold it even quicker... -

In fact if you look at the list there's virtually nothing that isn't prohibited! -
If you are thinking of shipping anything musical by myhermes, think again. Recently a guitar I sent via their service was destroyed in the post and they will not pay out on the insurance. Apparently musical instruments are on their prohibited list. This is not the first time I have had trouble with them with an insurance claim. https://www.myhermes.co.uk/help/carry-guide.html Dunc

Just received a TU-3 tuner from Chris. Exactly as he said it would be and it couldn't have arrived any quicker if he had fired it from a cannon from Scotland! I'm amazed...! Cheers Chris.

UPDATE - I looked through the thread where I got it from and there's a couple of things I had forgotten about, the thread says its a 1990 not 93/94, it has been copper shielded and it has Fender 62 pickups installed! Bonus. Final drop Brilliant P bass made in Japan around 93/94. It plays and sounds as good as any USA or Japanese Fender I have ever played. Its slightly under 9lb on the digital bathroom scales, 42mm at the nut and 64mm. The fretboard doesn't feel wide though like some. Its in very good condition with a couple of little chips. Nothing nasty, no big scratches or gouges etc. Its an aged creamier colour than in some of the pictures. The Fender decal was professionally fitted before I got the bass. A lot and time and care was taken with it. The serial number on the decal is the correct Squier serial for the bass. It also came with replacements of the originals incase the owner wished to change it back to stock. I have them somewhere... A few mods have been made - replacement straplocks and pins, Fender neckplate, tug bar and of course cream pup covers. I have the original parts which will be included in the sale. In truth, I do not want to sell this bass but I have a few expensive purchases coming up and I cant justify keeping so many basses. So, sadly it must go. Price doesn't include postage. You can always collect from Blackburn BB2 which I would much perfer.
