1. USA Highway Jazz in wine. Strict cash price or trade/PX. Very good condition considering the thin finish on these. There's one or two marks on the back but nothing serious (which I have tried to show). The previous owner polished the satin finish and it looks well. He also removed the Badass bridge and fitted a bbot. Plays and sounds great. Selling as I have a couple more Jazz basses and its not really getting used. Trade wise i suppose try me would be the best option... I wouldn't mind an Ibanez Promethean P5110 but open to basses too. Will post but collection preferred as I dont have a box, however I do have a slightly faulty hiscox type case which I could ship it in for another £15.00. I'm at BB22SH Blackburn, Lancs but travel to Millom in the Lakes often so perhaps could deliver or meet up.
2. A mate of mine uses one of these, it sounds great. It will be stock as he isn't tinkerly minded. I've never actually played it though...
3. This looks like its been fished out of the canal - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400625123744&ssPageName=ADME:B:FSEL:GB:1123
4. I keep on seeing Fender bodies up for sale on ebay etc that are refinished. Mostly these are (allegedly) vintage bodies. Once they are refinished (with loving care of course), are they really worth any more than a new body? The wood could be the same age etc. So, does a 50 year old wooden body sound any different to a new wooden body that has been built of the same material and to the same spec? Can a player honestly tell the quality under its new coat? I honestly don't know? I can mostly go along with the neck, hardware and the electrics etc having real value in that respect but for some reason, the paintwork has some sort of greater value to me? For me the paintwork is part of the basses personality and so part and parcel of its life. Why repaint it to sell? Would you refinish your vintage Fender to sell? If you were a buyer would you want a pristine vintage thats been refinished? I would definitely want the real deal warts and all...
5. I bought a Redsub 500w 1x10 combo from their ebay auction (promethean clone). It was described as faulty with low distorted output for £74.00. When I got it I turned the mute button off and 'bingo' it was working fine and still is. I thought that they didn't bother checking their returns after that.
6. Your reply has made my day! Perhaps those times weren't that dark after all!!!
7. Slightly off key but about 26 yrs ago I was banned from playing at 'musician collective' venues. I wore a union jack t-shirt and the 'Women of the World' stage started to call me a Nazi based only on the 'offensive' emblem that I wore. The mid 20's ringleader (with a girlfriend of 15!) decided to rant and rave at me backed by nods and tuts from her cohorts. I didnt see why I had to defend myself over my t-shirt so I told her to f**k off and do some ironing. I was then (without trial) duly given my marching orders for being a sexist. The latter 80's were indeed dark times... I suppose at the time, being a vicious scaremongering paedophile was ok!
8. Now thats interesting. How are they at lego and getting the right peg for the right hole? They could perhaps compile an educational package for the seller!
9.
How is it the morning after the night before? Any more appealing?
Its no better. I wish I hadn't woken up...
10. I have tried more than once and I still want to die before line 3?
11. Granted folks, I have had a few beers but I don't know what this guy is on about? I don't know if its the blue font or the lack of grammar but it makes hard reading? I cant read beyond line 2. It makes me want to die. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bitsa-bass-tele-style-original-peg-head-precision-style-fender-strap-gigbag-/261343029272?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cd9422818 Surely, my mother didn't bring me into this world to to die like this...
12. I know they made top guitars so maybe this is a steal - http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5af7feb7c6 Lots of knobs and stuff to play with.
13. Didnt see it but I would rather believe it was too good to be true, otherwise I would feel very very sick...
14. Wow! The price reflects the true love for this wonderful instrument...
15.
Nice but expensive it's an earlier one too as the neck pocket generally has a raised area to stabilise the neck placement - can't see that on the pic.
You could have a white one too!!!

18. I sold Darren a bass and sent it over to Ireland. The transaction was flawless. Thanks Darren you are a gent...
19. I recently traded basses with Mark. Absolutely flawless. Thanks Mark...
20. I've got the Redsub version, its a top little amp. Same or very similar to the Ibanez Promethean (maybe different preamp). All of them made by Beta Alvin (I think thats what they are called). I believe there is one marketed under the name White Horse too. There's a long thread on here somewhere.
21. Excellent! You have just saved me £125 plus postage!!! I was tempted, very tempted. I'm surprised it only weighed 6lb though!
