I managed to cancel the order. The alternative they offered me was a 500w Genz head for £75 more!

Gigged for last 3-4 years with no problems. Guitarist knocked volume control off so that needs replacing. Well used condition but sounds good and is louder than a right loud thing. I would say it needs a service to be safe and the pot replacing, which would probably cost £50 tops. The speakers must be worth the asking price. I'm in Blackburn Lancs...

I have got some Mark gear so the Eden has to go. I had it serviced a couple of months ago with a clean bill of health but when I got it home Ch2 was making a weird background noise for some reason. The problem has not been further investigated. Its in good cosmetic condition but it has been gigged so don't expect new. Will swap/trade for a Markbass 1x12 , 22 fret Precision or Westone Thunder 2/3 bass. I'm in Blackburn Lancs...

Precision/Jazz hybrid. Extremely well built, (as well as the real item if not better) lovely jazz neck. Nice and heavy and very versatile. It was built by a Lancashire company that have now gone. I do not know their name. The decal was added by the previous owner. I have never had a bass that can sound so warm. The bass is in Belgium until May 20th at a friends studio. Its on here so early so I can generate some interest and to fund a 22 fret Precision or a Westone Thunder 2/3 bass. I am in Blackburn Lancs...

I believe this was built in 1991 for a customer who then didn't want it. It ended up with a friend of mine who sold it to me in the late 90's. It in Belgium at the moment at a friends studio and will arrive back around the 20th of May. Its up on here early as I am trying to fund a 22 fret P bass or a Westone 2/3 bass and to generate a bit of interest in a fairly unique bass! I'm in Blackburn Lancs.

I've had this for few years but as yet it has not left its case. A friend of mine had a bit of a twang a few months ago but that's it. Its in good nick, especially as its about 30 years old! The case is not brilliant but its not bad either. Looking to sell to fund a 22 fret P bass or a Westone Thunder 2/3 bass. I'm in Blackburn Lancs. Also after a powerful small footprint 1x10 cab.

Cheap active bass. In good condition but not mint. The tone control is a bit loose (never investigated why) and 1 screw is missing from the battery cover. Its been lying around unused since it came to me. Selling to fund a 22 fret Fender P or a Westone Thunder 3/4 bass. I'm in Blackburn Lancs.

Hi, the serial number is on the back of the neck close to the body so I would have thought it is a CIJ neck, presuming everything is above board. I have messaged the seller and asked if it says crafted in Japan next to the serial. No reply as yet...

Please don't get me started about drummers!!!!

I have never met a guitarist who will turn down. They pretend to and think everybody is dumb enough to believe them . Even when they are that loud the vocals cannot be heard. Their solution is turn the vocals up. Sorry but the vocals wont go any higher as the PA is only 1.5k in a 16'x10' room. Oh well says the guitarist... Its what guitarists do! Their sound is never 'right' when the rest of the band can be heard! I'm so glad I only rehearse about 6 times a year...

Carlsboro Stingray leads are top. All Carlsboro bass gear is bollocks. I had a combo that I only put effects through and it was ace for that but if I put any bass signal through it, the neighbours laughed for days. Bland 800hz.

Is it me or has the price jumped up sixty quid?

Hi, thanks for your time everyone. That's the right picture of the tuners on my bass so the pups are more than likely Japanese. The active preamp mod looks excellent and I will certainly bear that in mind but in the meantime a Basschat member has offered to lend me some Seymour Duncans to try out (which I thought was a wonderful gesture). Also, just recently the CIJ has developed a bit of a crackle so I thought rather than send it to a tech to diagnose, it would work out cheaper to buy a decent solderless harness and fit it myself. I do think if the Duncans don't work out I will go for the preamp it really looks fantastic. Thanks again everyone...

Would buy it myself but I'm having a clear out myself - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261194263542?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

The tuners are shiny and not the aged vintage look if that helps. Thanks...

The tuners are smaller than these in the link but I would not say they are quite small? [sub]Hi, I have heard that they maybe USA and also that they are not. To be honest the wiring looks cheap to me so I was swayed to thinking that they weren't USA.[/sub]

I ordered the Redsub about 3 months ago from Gear4music, my delivery date is next Wednesday. I will let you all know what I think of it.

I got one of these in the early 80's. It got damaged in a shop window in Blackburn during the riots! They filled and repainted the ding where the brick hit it. It still cost me about £160 though! I really liked it but the guitarist at the time had some beef with it and complained all the time about the sound! I eventually sold it to a mate and bought a 72 jazz but he complained about that too! Eventually I sold that for peanuts and got a Westone Thunder 3. He complained about that so I left the band! Eventually he got me to go back but I kept the Westone until 5 years ago when like a complete d**khead I sold it! The Peavey was a true monster but I don't think my back could handle it now...
