  1. Mac basses. Try me with anything. I very nearly made the switch to 6 but another project (which is taking up most of my time) has come along that requires 4's only. I've had it about 12 months. It didn't look used when I bought it and it hasn't left the house since. Squier dater website says that it was built in 2015. 3 tone Sunburst. Looks like new, comes with a nice new looking Armourdillo rigid case (with keys). Has a Staytrem bridge fitted (original included) and is strung with rounds. Don't think they are stock strings as they are far better than the ones on the new Vi that I previously owned. I bought it with 2 sets of strings one of which is a set of La Bella flats. I took them off and fitted the rounds. The top E on the La Bella's broke when I took it off. They may go back on ok but I cannot guarantee that they will. I would much prefer collection and trial from BB22SH but you can arrange a courier or I could probably meet up depending on distance. The case is still in the loft so pics or that to follow.
  2. No pics for me either? I picked up one of these from around 2000. It's great. Sounds and plays far better than any Mex I've owned.
  3. These are fab little heads. I picked one up recently from here and it's one of the best purchases I've made on BC. Bought it as a spare but wouldn't hesitate to use it as a main. GLWTS
  4. Silly money indeed for great gear. I really don't understand why this hasn't sold?
  5. I've got my eye on to it too Karl. £724 short 😂 Lovely thing. Who knows what tomorrow may bring though? 😀
  6. Real Eden bargain! Really great heads and for some reason greatly overlooked. Maybe the name isn't sexy enough? I used an Eden Metro combo for years and hands down it was the best piece of kit I've ever used. Beautiful sound and construction. Glass back forced the reluctant sale. GLWTS
  7. Traded amps with Mike. Great transaction, everything as it should be. Nice fella, good communication and amp exactly as described. Have no worries. Deal with confidence. Thanks again Mike. Cheers Dunc

Just done a trade with Martin for a couple of pedals. Great condition, exactly as described. Had a good all chat about all things bass at a social distance too. Have no fear, Martin is a great BC'er and a jolly nice fella. Thanks again Martin. Cheers Dunc
  9. They are great amps. No need to dial anything in as they work straight out of the box so to speak. I was using it with a Big Twin and the sound was immense but I moved onto 2 Barefaced 110's and my OCD wouldn't cope with the overhanging 😂 Indeed they go for silly silly money and in reality, Ashdown are one of the best out there. Vastly underrated. If I had more room at home I'd happily keep it. The DI is great for recording too! I'm talking myself out of selling it aren't I? 😂
  10. Bought a distortion from Nigel. Great communication and a pleasant chap too. It arrived very quickly in super duper packaging, exactly as described. What more could you ask for. Thanks again Nigel. Cheers Dunc
  11. Sold Lee an amp. Great communication and fast payment. Great chap. Thanks again Lee. Cheers Dunc
  12. Can confirm that these sound great through a BF 110. Beautiful sounding amp and combination. GLWTS.
  13. As above, in great condition. Great head but I've got a Boogie coming and this is far too good to hang around as a spare. Comes with the gig bag and relevant literature. I think these ship with a locking power lead? Haven't got a clue what that is but it comes with a traditional kettle type instead. All working as it should. Great sound, loads of headroom and lighter than a light thing. May px plus cash my way for a TE Elf to use as a spare. May consider others of the same ilk. Collection much preferred from BB22SH. Will ship at buyers cost and risk but will be well packaged. Payment by bank transfer or cash on collection please.
  14. Lovely cabs. It's been a while but I remember mine being nice and warm and not too heavy. GLWTS
  15. Where I went, we had a teacher knocking a pupil off for years. All the kids knew so the staff certainly did. It started when she was 12 and when she left school, she moved in with him and had a load of kids. Things certainly were different then.
  16. Indirectly. At school our music teacher was a complete bullying tw@t. He went all around the room one day and ordered us to sing solo. When it got to my turn I refused. He screamed that in his lesson, my voice was his. I told him to fork off which sent him into a violent rage. As a result I got grief and bullied from most of the other teachers for most of my secondary schooling. That caused me to rebel, pick up the bass and join a band at the age of twelve. Never looked back! 😀
  17. I bought this as a spare on BC a few months back as a fixer upper. It's sorted now but I've got a new head coming and need to move some of my other heads on. Here's the original post - Hope you don't mind basslondon 😁 When it arrived, indeed only one channel was working. Eventually I had a look at it and It seems like something had been inserted into one of the four speaker outs that had pushed one of the jack connecting poles out of place. Maybe a faulty jack? Opened it up and bent the pin back. Hey presto, the outs started working again. The socket was a little loose on the connected board and so I dropped a little solder on to solve that too. I've tried all 4 speaker outs and none of them sound distorted to me. I can't tell you if they were distorted before the fix as I didn't try them. I used the DI out to record before repair and that sounds great. I also tried the fx loop while recording at that was fine too. I think I paid £50 plus £20 postage so, at £85 functioning sounds like a pretty good deal. Everything appears to work as it should now. It sounds great, granted it doesn't look new but it's not that bad either. It has character! A couple of the sliders on the graphic are missing but that's purely cosmetic and they can be still used as normal. I honestly think everything is working as it should but please bear in mind what's been said. I'd much prefer someone to come and try it out for themselves, rather than something happen to it in the post and then the buyer to think I'd sold it knowingly faulty. However, if it was to be posted then I'd pack it well for the buyer and leave it to them to arrange their own insured courier. Payment by bank transfer.. I'm in Blackburn Lancs. 18. The Mrs is a walking medical cabinet and told me the same. It works really well and quickly. It also toughens the skin a bit to prevent from it happening again.
  19. What a stunner! Incredible! 😁 GLWTS Walshy you never cease to amaze me. You have one too! My year of birth!
  20. This thread has just reminded me that I've got a Selmer Treble n Bass 50! Must get it set up with the BF 110's and have a listen!
  21. Now, if you had asked me that, question, you would have got a totally different pic in the reply! 😂😂😂😂
