  1. I'll buy it! Oh, I can't. That's not allowed on here. πŸ˜‚
  2. A mate of mine uses one of these. He is quite an accomplished sound engineer and producer. The Uni where he works bought quite a few and sold some off about 12 months ago, he bought one of them as he really rates them. He is now playing in a reformed 80's band and uses it as his 1st choice. I'll have a play on his and may well get back to you.
  3. I'm always confused nowadays. I honestly can't believe this is still here at such a low price? If someone only needs one cab, it's worth buying the lot. A cab and a backup rig for Β£250! It's outrageous! I don't have the money at the moment but if I had, all of it would be coming to live with me. In secret of course, as the Mrs would punish me badly! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  4. I just skimmed over the description and thought the amp was 28lb!
  5. These are great little combos. Our rhythm guitarist uses one. Don't be fooled by 15w either. These are more than capable of gigging with. GLWTS
  6. I didn't see one last time I was in my attic too. It's full of them. Amazing what you can find if you don't look closely enough.
  7. Sold Harry an Ampeg SCR-DI. Great transaction. No messing, fast payment, good comms. Wouldn't hesitate to deal again. What more can a chatter ask for. Thanks again Harry! Cheers Dunc
  8. A mate just flew over from Belgium with his guitar on Ryanair. When he booked his flight, he was told he had to book a seat for his guitar. Bingo! The flights were only a tenner. When he got to the airport, he was told he had to pay another Β£63 for his guitar. When he said he had booked an extra seat for it, he was told he needed to book a seat for an instrument, not a person! He got on the nearly empty plane and his guitar sat on the seat next to him that he had already paid for, inadequately strapped in with a seatbelt designed for a human! What a rip off!
  9. Literally just sold mine. Very reluctant sale too. Great preamps. GLWTS

  11. I would have bought it but trying to flip it for Β£265 on here would have destroyed my reputation... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. Great pre amp but I'm moving back from FRFR to a conventional rig. Boxed and looks as new. I'm sure something could be found under scrutiny though! Velcro on the bottom. Will post at buyers cost and risk.
  13. Ah! It has the magic enhance knob too! Every bassist should have a magic enhanced knob when onstage. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  14. Hi, I've always been intrigued by these. What would you think the system is capable of in terms of venue size and music type? What did you actually put through it that worked? Thanks...
  15. Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can A/B them somewhere. I love the BF and the RCF's I've already sold but with few gigs I had too much money tied up in them. Plus I'm tired of sorting all the PA put. I sort of figure that I'll get some money back and a less capable rig should ensure that we have to go back to hiring a rig in and the workload will be off me. Well, that's the plan! πŸ˜€
  16. Probably the best combo ever made! Absolutely brilliant. Still miss mine. Expensive piece of kit when new and still could give the most expensive gear a run for the money.
  17. Ironically, I only ever thought Markbass were ok but recently I got a Mark Mini 12 combo in a trade. It sounds great, so much so that I'm on the verge of going back from FRFR to using the combo with an extension. Β£1450 against something that stands me at Β£225, it's a no brainier I suppose.
  18. After spending a small fortune on some BF FR800's and pair of RCF 745's, I discovered that gigs aren't happening as planned and to be honest, I'm tired of being the PA bloke. I sold the RCF's but still have the BF's. Now, because of the lack of gigs, I''m thinking of moving on the BF's on and buying something cheaper that can handle pub gigs. We will have to go back to hiring rigs for some venues when necessary. Has anyone used the above or similar? Not particularly bothered about a sub as I'm not keen on them anyway. Something that will handle vox, a bit of guitar and a kick. Line up, 4 vox, 2 guitars, bass, medium hitter drummer. Handling bass would be a bonus but not really necessary. I only want to spend Β£600 max. New or secondhand would do. Tough ask, I know but as it stands the BF aren't earning their keep. Thanks in advance.
  19. Spoken like a true bass player! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  20. Welcome! Basschat and a healthy interest in bass things will ensure you are always skint. If you can cope with that (like the rest of us) we will have a great deal in common! πŸ˜€
