Does anyone live nearby to the seller? I'm quite interested in this and was wondering if any BC'er would be willing to go round and laugh hysterically for me. ๐

I think BC member Geddys nose uses one of these with his band. He has been really positive about it. Drop him a PM. He is a genuine bloke and a nice fella to talk to. I'm sure (if that is what they are running) he will give you an honest account.

Unfortunately, there are a few (very few) on here and many in the outside world born with a very worrying medical problem. They have a brush shoved so far up their bottom that even Dr Frankenstein could not remove it. It probably was there from birth and obviously as such they deserve concessions. Please don't be too harsh on the minority,, they know not what they do.

We've dropped our subs completely as I'd rather the audience heard the instruments being played and not a load of mush with guitar and vocal. I wish venues would do the same or only use them where it's relevant to do so. Nearly every band I've seen in the last 15 years who use them have just sounded dreadful due to their over use. I'm sure that there must be some trend for sound engineers to have that fingers "rammed in the ear" effect. It's absolutely pointless (in many cases) for a bassist to bother taking his own gear. They may as well DI and use the in house monitoring. However, I saw The Good The Bad and The Queen at Blackpool North Pier recently and although the bass sound was in your face powerful, there was none of the woolly nonsense. Mr Simonon with an old P bass and I presume his Ampeg stack banging out the best FOH bass sound I've heard in decades. I suspect they had a decent rig, proper sound check and a knowledgable engineer though!

Never really understood the attraction of Culture Club, being a little punk and all that. Many years ago, in their heyday, the then girlfriend was heavily into them. One day after listening to yet more trout about Culture Club spill from her gob I said, "He is gay you know". Said woman promptly threw an eppy and ditched me Didn't see her again for many years. When I did (two years ago) I said, "Told you he was gay". She very reluctantly said, "I know"". All was well and we had a good laugh about it. ๐

Wow, the heritage status makes real sense now! It is complete nonsense after all! Should this be an indicator that punk music will get a similar status soon? Oh, maybe the new romantic 80's music too? Oh, forgot about rock n roll and blues and classical and ancient Greek stuff they've just solved the mystery of. Just about anyone who has picked up a washboard without a shirt to clean and played it badly should be eligible for protected status at some point then? It's not really as if reggae music is in danger of dying out is it? Reasons for protected status are at best "barmy" Call me cynical but it looks to me like somebody somewhere is trying and probably going to make a lot of money from this. In a few decades we'll have - Now That's What I call Protected Music 20 at the top of the album charts then! ๐
