  1. Ah! The Talbot! Very generous place. They gave me tinnitus for free. If it's an in house rig, make sure you get a soundcheck!
  2. I'm too busy setting up and packing up the PA to care! Funny how if there's any questions posed to the rest of the band they all refer them to me! I honestly don't care though! Too long in the tooth now.
  3. I wish this would sell. I don't need it but I want it and I want the Boogie! I've run out of cunning plans though. Do you do a play now pay later scheme?
  4. All this 70's Precision stuff on here isn't doing my health any good at all. Either the desire will kill me or the Mrs will. Beautiful bass. GLWTS.
  5. That's a very big pocket! Wish I had a wallet the same size TE marketed the Elf in a similar fashion but (as was probably intended) I found myself taking more notice of the young ladies rear than I was of the Elf! I thought that was an over-sized pocket too but I really didn't care 😂
  6. I was hoping that this had sold. I don't need it but it has been on my 'wanted' list for a long while! GLWTS.
  7. Well, he's a bit of a prick then! Right on! 😂
  8. I wonder if it really is that bad or if Lynne has quite upset him? 😥
  9. We're using a Behringer XR18, 2012 i5 Macbook Pro with 8gb RAM (16gb would be better), SSD and Logic X. The XR18 is great for live, recording and live recording. It kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Live desk and interface all in one. We try to keep the MB Pro as clean as possible. Nothing running in the background either. Works great for us.
  10. Basically for the reasons mentioned but also I think the RCF have a longer throw and being 15", they will fill the room a bit better than the BF.
  11. I don't really have a preference. The BF has a cube shape which would be better to put on stands for monitoring. They also sound great as an FRFR. Having 2 BF for monitoring or as a bass rig is far too excessive!
  12. Having secured a full bedroom at home (all to myself) to use as a music room, I can now withdraw this. I can hide what the hell I like in it and she will never know! My RCF's will be able to come home tomorrow too! I can feel a spending spree coming on! Having found myself with a pair of BF FR800's and a pair of RCF 745's for PA duties, it seems a bit overkill really. So many scenario's can be derived from the combination, it's untrue! So. for the moment. I've decided to sell a single FR800 (selling both isn't out of the question though). Logic is, RCF FOH and keep one BF as a PA monitor / FRFR as a bass rig. So, one is surplus. These cabs are truly astounding for their size and weight. It has done around 8 gigs for PA duties and performed flawlessly. In great condition (kept at home in a warm and dry environment) and comes with the original BF cover, (which is also in great condition). Would cost around £1320 new with the cover and so, considering it's age (about 12 months old), usage and condition the price is fair and of course there is no wait for construction. Collection and demo much preferred from Blackburn BB22SH. Can post (still have the original packaging) at buyers cost and risk. Would consider trades / px but the only things I can think of at the moment are - a small usb mixer (Allen and heath Zed type), 335 style guitar (Epiphone Lucille etc). May even consider light weight bass gear, BF cabs, Orange Terror etc. Maybe a P bass but others considered. Try me with anything, I can only say no. Pics to follow...

  14. Must resist, must resist, must resist. 🤐
  15. Sound advice above. I'm using a BF FR800 which is basically an active BB2. It's very clean in it's own. Coupled with a Behringer BDI21 or an Ampeg SCR-DI it sounds absolutely great. I'm using a JV Precision. Lovely old school thump. The BDI21 is only about £20 new so it's got to be worth worth a shot!
  16. They are resilient! Great for both guitar and bass too. A Selmer Treble n Bass was the first amp I ever played through too!
  17. What sort of compost is that Karl? The grass is lovely and green Seriously though, great cabs. Seriously great cabs! If I wasn't on the PA route myself, I'd be on it like a tramp on chips! GLWTS.
  18. Ummm, that's a point. Thanks for that.
  19. Thanks for clearing that one up! I suspected that the line and XLR would be connected. Ummm bit of a bummer. I don't fancy having to take a laptop around with it to adjust the gains either. Looks like it's a small mixer between the Ampeg and FR then that I need then. More money needed! Thanks again.
  20. I've just got an Ampeg SCR-Di and have had it running from the DI out straight into a BF FR800. Sounds great, more than great, brilliant isn't enough! I've just got to be careful to make sure the Ampeg is turned on and turned down before switching the BF on (BF has no volume control). This might be a silly question but I'd like to be 100% sure I'm right in thinking that - I could run the XLR DI to a PA and (now the real question) - run a 1/4" jack from the Ampeg line out straight to the FR800? I can't see why the jack won't be ok but just to be sure, I'm seeking a bit of advice from the knowledgeable before trying it out. 😀 Cheers in advance.
  21. This should come with an "Impending Divorce Warning"!!! That's a seriously fantastic piece of kit that I'd have a go at if I had any money! GLWTS.
  22. It's just me, nothing against blue. I like it really but I have a weird unnatural fetish for white Fenders!
  23. What a beautiful bass! I'd be very sad to see that go indeed. 66 is my birth year. I had to scroll down to the pics very very slowly in the absolute hope that it wasn't Oly white. I could feel the dread of my BF FR800's going up for sale! GLWTS
  24. I think I used to own this, it's a really nice playing / sounding Tele indeed.
