  1. Look's like Kev's edited the ad but not answered your question! Not very helpful to you really. I agree with T-Bay' above post, Kev's a nice guy and great to deal with too.
  2. Welcome Jeff, you will be gassing in the classifieds with the rest of us before you know it. This shop has been the ruin of many a poor boy
  3. I wonder if she will let me get it? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marshall-1960b-Tv-Cabinet-With-SAMSUNG-42-LED-TV-Perfect-Man-Cave/173409629926?hash=item286004f6e6:g:7I8AAOSwP61bSQBZ
  4. This would have sold in the first hour if I had the money! 🙁
  5. I bought a VM Precision body and neck from Dan. Arrived super fast in bullet proof packaging. Everything as described. What more could a man ask for? Have no fear, deal with confidence. Thanks again Dan. Cheers Dunc
  6. No worries. Great amp at a great price! Pity I'm skint... GLWTS
  7. I've got a Selmer 50w Treble n Bass head. I paired it with 2 Ashdown 4x8's (500w and 600w) and it nearly blew my bass clean off. Power in the extreme!
  8. Could it be an AER Ribbon mic? https://www.aearibbonmics.com/john-cunibertis-onemic-series/
  9. Ha! I thought it was £300! I was buying a train ticket to Bath 😂 Must get the old eyes looked at! GLWTS
  10. Squier JV. Mine weighs in about 8 1/2lb. Not jazz nut width but the neck is shallow and so, makes it easy to play. Has a great sound with stock pups. No need to upgrade anything. Examples do crop up within your price range. The SQ series and E series are great examples too.
  11. Ooooh! If I didn't have a JV already... Terrific piece of kit. GLWTS Paul.
  12. Did plenty of gigs with a TB500 matched with a BF Midget and a 1st Gen Compact. Not a one cab solution but is light, small footprint (the midget sits perfectly on it's side on the Compact). The pair give good options for the TB, my favourite setup for sound and portability really. I used just the Midget for rehearsals and both for gigs. After a while I found I only needed the Compact for gigging and a few times I only took the Midget. Most gigs were with PA support. I'd have no reservations using the 3 combined without PA support though (within reason). I don't think any 12" can 'replace' a 4x10 but when you have constraints, you have to concede there's a trade off and make the best choice for your needs.
  13. I'd get the sound as near as I could firstly. More than likely the playing can then be a variant...
  14. Way too much but strangely they are worth it! Great basses but you can get them for £100 give or take. The Thunder 2 and 3 are different animals altogether. Thunder 2 Mk2 methinks and the Thunder 3 are basically the same bass and are really special.
  15. I've even considered dropping my bedroom ceiling and building a mezzanine floor! The more space I make, the more she seems to need!
  16. Not at my house. She'd have the shed as a luxury dog palace!
  17. Looks like it's years in the wilderness for you too! When we moved here, there wasn't a great deal of storage area. I nabbed under the stairs but it had to be used for cak and the hoover instead. I then boarded the loft as a man hideaway. Soon that was taken from me for things like - empty boxes and other useless and meaningless stuff. So, I extended from the kitchen and built a conservatory which I used for a short to time before being moved on. That may sound fair to some but we virtually never use the conservatory. On the end of the conservatory there is what used to be the old brick store that I'd incorporated into the conservatory. Separate door. That was full of old tat really so I cleared it and made a little room. Just big enough for my gear and a little studio setup. Then the Mrs wanted a downstairs shower and loo. So, the little room was transformed into a downstairs bathroom. I then went one better and split a large bedroom into 2, giving us 4 bedrooms, giving me a music room. Success! No. She then wanted a spare bedroom for guests who we virtually never have as our 4 dogs, although lovely and friendly, are a handful for unsuspecting guests. They rule the roost! I then nabbed a small dark nook for the PA that appeared during the bedroom split. She wanted shelving there instead. Well, still wants shelves there as I haven't got round to it and when I do, the PA will then be truly homeless! All the other bits are under beds that have storage that I specially got to hide the equipment. You guessed it, my gear is taking up the room under the beds that she wants for other stuff! There is no winning. Only scoring the odd point by doing things like leaving the PA cabs in the hall for a couple of days!
  18. I use a pick 99% of the time but if I could be bothered practicing with my fingers, I'm positive I could play way way faster.
  19. Alas, after her once being married to a drummer for 12 years, she has virtually no sense of timing. It's irreversible I'm afraid. However, she can do a damned good Joe Strummer esque 'howl'! This is accompanied by her mate doing her scarily life like seal 'honk'! As you can imagine, breaks between songs are highly entertaining!
  20. Sort of reminds me of when I had to collect a parcel from the local PO sorting office. Missed the driver so went to collect with best ID I had at the time. Current utility bill and my expired passport. They would not accept my ID as they needed valid photographic evidence. An idiot could see that my old passport was me. They asked for my driving licence but it was an old one with no photo. After a good few minutes of banter that was getting a bit heated, they said they could accept a credit card? I pointed out that there was no photo on a credit card but they said they could still accept that? I told them I didn't have a credit card and so we went back to the heated banter. Eventually I said, "Why don't you just say that there is no way I can have my parcel. My property". He paused and then said, "We could redeliver it to your address tomorrow".
