  1. Great pice of kit these. I use mine nearly every day. Perfect for practice and learning songs. Loads of functions, basically all you need in a guitar tuner (which it has too) sized box. GLWTS.
  2. Bought an XR18 from Steve. All as described, delivered quick and safely. Excellent comms and a nice chap too. You'll have no worries here. Deal with confidence. Cheers Dunc
  3. I don't understand any entertainment awards. All I can see is well known and in the main, wealthy people patting themselves and each other on the back. I find it quite embarrassing and cringeworthy really. Why anyone would want to watch this type of media driven shambolic tripe is beyond me. 😂
  4. Had a thought about Sid today, on the 2nd of Feb he will be dead 39 years! Where did all that time go?!!!
  5. Clive bought my TB1000. Graat bloke to deal with. Swift payment, good comms. What more could you ask for? Thanks again Clive. Cheers Dunc
  6. I did a trade for one of these recently with tom1946 on here (he has a twin to it for sale on here too). What a good bass it is. Lovely neck, good sound, nice and light too. I can't fault it. Give it a bit of a tweak to my own taste and it's a fabulous instrument for the money (or even more). The only thing I would change is the back of the neck. It's just a bit too glossy for me but a bit of a sand down would sort that. Some folk prefer the tone pot but to be honest I very rarely use it. I'd been looking for another white/maple board P for a while as a backup to my JV57. Now I find myself thinking of retiring the JV for most gigs (plenty of rough venues) and using it as a main. Good job I came to my senses as I nearly sold it to fund another project. I've had loads of basses and very few 'keepers'. I think this might well be one of them. Far more of an instrument than I expected. Anyone else have love for these?
  7. And it's only a practice amp! Maybe it's not really broken either, he might not be strong enough to flick the switch!
  8. Reluctantly, I have to agree with the OP. After much thought, I must say (1979ish) my no name cack P bass, Selmer Treble n Bass head and 18" whatever cab is the sound that made the hairs on my neck stand on end. Folk may scoff. I've loved Peavey, Eden, Orange BF etc but that setup really did it for me. Maybe it was my age. Wish I could get that feeling again though.
  9. Reduced £350 Recently bought from this very parish. The head is superb and comes with Orange soft case. Great condition and the DI is fine (not like the earlier models). I don't need this much power. I've been using it with 2 Ashdown cabs (that are also for sale) and the 1.5k of cabs and this head are far far more than my needs. This head or the whole rig would suit any venue.. If you would like to buy the whole rig the price would be £750 Original post for the head (hope you don't mind Karlfer!) Link to the cabs If you need the full deal then I'll add this for an extra £200 (hope you don't mind Tom) £900 for the head, cabs and bass... Can post but please PM for details. Collection from BB22SH (preferable) or may be able to meet up dependant on distance.
  10. I think Ash from this very forum has a JV Jazz. I would imagine that he would be a good contact for any advice.
  11. Could be relly useful if you were a sandblaster who liked to noodle at lunchtime?
  12. Hi Roj, long time no hear! It's the head thats a big problem for me. It looks like a moose! May very well weigh as much too. Has a 60's Eastern European look...

  14. Have a look at these . Used to be wedelivertheworld I think - https://parcelcompare.com/?gclid=CjwKCAiA8P_TBRA9EiwAJrpHMyRCNmBAkVX5Qksc7TsKD2mN_XUaf64wMqdoxNycmpsLRaN2o3IAGBoCB5MQAvD_BwE Rough guesses on weight and size comes out at £42 plus vat. They took an Ampeg 2x10 from Lancashire to the south of France for under £20 about 12 months ago.
  15. If only I had fitted wheels on mine and the Mrs let me keep it downstairs! Best bass gear I've ever used. Loved it. Ridiculously cheap now and vastly underrated. That's only because most folk haven't used one! Anyone who has used one will know exactly what I mean. Twin channel, down to 2ohm, more features than a thing with loads of features and a magic enhance knob. What more could a bassist want? I'm going to end up buying this aren't I? 😂
  16. It's all in the manual. It appears to say it's 8ohm as a standalone. Runs at 4ohm with an extension 8ohm cab and another 4ohm would take it down to 2ohm. There's a table with different configurations. http://www.edenamps.com/assets/4012.058_dc210xltmetro-2006.pdf
  17. I wish you'd stop selling stuff Karl. My wallet twitches every time you make a post!
  18. Great to see combos like these still around. The one i used to use was really powerful and sounded great. How on earth did you get it up the stairs? 😂GLWTS
  19. Rik bought a desk from me., Great communication and a hassle free deal. If only they were as easy as this one. Nice chap too. Thanks again Rik Cheers Dunc
  20. I worked for many years with a singer/guitarist who basically was a condescending nightmare. He sacked everybody and anybody when he felt like it. He was unable to join in a jam. He had to lead it as he just didn't have the ability to jam with someone else's idea. Frantic rants broke out if anything went against the way he thought. His bass lines were always the "best" and he let everyone know it. Eventually I left and that was the end of his band career as no-one else on the planet would have put up with him! I've heard he has started another band though. He sacked the drummer in favour of a drum machine before the first rehearsal! I pity the bass player...
