2X18 feedback

Sold a mixer to Will. Straightforward as usual. Great guy to deal with. Thanks again Will. Cheers Dunc
2. That's 2 of us from Blackburn then! Welcome!
3.
£395. I changed the price using full editor, but it hasn't appeared. Apologies.
Thanks for the update. Very very tempting...
4. I might be misreading the ad but how much is it reduced to? Can only see the original price?
5.
Cheers Dunc, massively kind of you Mr. Hope I can take you up on that. I will try & get something sorted Ben. Many thanks guys.
Offer still open here Karl.
6. There is no way I could hide this from Mrs itsmedunc! What a shame. GLWTS.
7.
I know, it's frustrating but where I'm working at the moment, I simply can't have deliveries or collections This would have been sold 5 times if I could courier.
May be no help at all but if you can get it to mine (or I'll meet you somewhere), I'll do the postage or collection bit for you Karl. Might cost you a pint at some point in your life though!
8. And another great bass for sale! The necks are great on these. Very shallow for a P. Certainly not a club like many of the USA around at the time. Excellent balance too. Love mine and can't imagine ever selling it now. A replacement would have to be really really special. GLWTS
9. Hadn't had much of a chance to play a MIM Jazz until recently. Took one to rehearsals (with a new band) today and everyone commented on how good it sounded. Plays great too. This has to be a bargain. GLWTS
10. Well done there Ash! My year of birth too!

Sold a case to Andy. Everything as it should be. Nice guy to deal with too. Have no fear! Thanks again Andy! Cheers Dunc
12. We only found out we were playing Oct 20th by pure chance this Saturday! We have 2 lead guitarists but only one plays at any one time (odd setup really but...). One of them had asked us if we wanted to play on the 20th but never got back to confirm anything. Luckily, a friend of mine showed me the poster online and I managed to get everyone (that includes the other guitarist, not the one who organised it to play). The lad who organised it cant make it! Communication is easy but organisation is terrible. I've got a brand new unused BF rig under my stairs as I haven't been able to get 5 folk in the same room for the last 2 months!
13. Bought a Jazz from Stuart. It arrived as described, well packaged and when he said it would. Can't ask for much more than that! Have no fear! Thanks again Stuart. Cheers Dunc
14. I've tried to keep out of this! The Clash were a great band and never tried to be anything but The Clash. Maybe being there at the time would have helped to understand them? Well, I'm a little too young to say "I was there" (51) at the beginning. I wish I was but I wasn't. They created, along with the Pistols etc a new way of looking at music and attitude. If folk don't like it, then fair enough but The Clash etc created a movement of people who changed the world. Over rated has nothing to do with it at all? How on earth can you overrate those events? For goodness sake, how many, nothing short of boy bands preceeded them who never had the talent to write a note or lyric for themselves? Ring any Bells? The Clash did what they did. Most folk who like The Clash love the music but are absolutely engrossed with the lyrics. They actually had something to say. If you can't see what the Clash and the punk movement, at time actually did, then in my opinion you should maybe not read any further... It really was a point in time and that those who appreciated it then, still cherish the moment.
15.
Maybe you should invest in a nice speaker level DI to go with it and hopefully a midget will be loud enough for stage monitoring
Ummmm, thats interesting. Any recommendations? I actually use in ears but the guitarist would still need a bit of bass. Would like us all to have the option too, just in case...
16. Hi, thanks for the insight. I'm not sure it will be powerful enough to gig with because of compact cab constraints (space issues at home). I've been thinking Barefaced Midget/Compact or there are some 12" empty JBL enclosures for sale on here. I'd love to go "Large" but space and the old back dictate otherwise!
17. Just picked one of these up at a good enough price today. No doubt it will need a bit of work. One of the pots is a bit crackly and it hasnt been used in a long time. All working though! It's going to a valve tech wizard on Saturday for the "real" verdict. There's been a couple of threads about these in the past concerning good pairings with cabs etc but that was a while ago. Has anyone any recommendations of which compact cab would be suitable or even drivers to fit in an enclosure? It says written on the back 8ohm. I'm hoping it will go to 4 but won't really know 100% until Saturday. Unless of course we have our own "wizard" on BC?
18.
£150 or so is the going price for these, seems like that's always been the case, probably because they're bomb-proof and there are thousands of them around. And Ebay's full of delusionals & chancers with ludicrous BINs & start prices. And they never, ever sell....
Always liked the Thunder range. The MK2 is good too but the Mk3's are excellent. I've got a 2 MK2 which is basically a Thunder 3 and it's great. The most under rated bass I've ever played.
