2. I probably will remove this tomorrow. Only had this a couple of days. Got it in a trade. I want more than I traded it for but I reluctantly dropped the price on my SQ that I traded it with. I've got a few things up for sale and if anything sells, I'll keep this as it's a great bass. I was told it comprises of a Mexican neck and Squier Korean body and hardware (which I have no reason to disbelieve). Also, Fender ashtray and pickup cover. Good Points (sellers original description) 1. Had a full set up and fret dress by Glen @ Axion Guitars, Bury 2. The white has aged to a lovely yellow that gives a very vintage look 3. Nice 70’s style Wilkinson Tuners Bad Points 1.The tort guard is an ebay repro and took some fiddling to fit. It’s a tad rough around the pickup under the cover. Some cracks/chips around the heel 3.At some point someone fitted a strap button on the lower horn. This has since been filled in. Plays and sounds great. Currently strung with flats. Only thinking of selling as I've ended up with too many basses. So, good overall condition but is used, may need a new scratch plate depending on, if you want to leave the current cover on or not. Could never tell at a distance anyway. The lower horn button has been filled and is no problem if you can cope with a non perfect bass. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Pics from original seller. Hope you don't mind... An extra £20 posted at buyers risk (but will be well packed) or collection which is much preferred from BB22SH.
3. Had a J&D Jazz for a short space of time. Was very well made, played well and sounded more than good enough to gig with. No fret issues but I it bought second hand and the work could have already been done.
4.
I might be interested in the X18 as an outright purchase.. Why are you looking to change, as I understand they're almost identical (fewer aux outs? )
Thanks but I'm not after a sale. Just a trade for an Xr18. I want to exchange as I'd rather have the rack mount version so I can put it in a flightcase along with a headphone amp for silent rehearsals and in ears for live work.
5. Trade only. Long shot but wondering if anyone out there wants to trade their XR18 for my X18 plus cash your way?
6. This is virtually new. Bought it for the rest of the band to try and they showed no interest. Used once and then put in a drawer. I'm sure I have all the original boxes but can't promise. There are 4 receivers not 3 as shown in the link. http://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Wireless-In-Ear-Monitor-System-Pack-by-Gear4music-3-Receivers/164T Postage to mainland UK would be about a tenner. Collection from BB22SH preferred.
7. Bought a headphone amp from Jack. Arrived super quick and as described. Have no worries here. Deal with confidence. Thanks again Jack. Cheers Dunc
8. I got the price wrong! It's £230 posted. Only had this a couple of days and then a Matt Freeman (which originally had wanted) and an Oly Jazz come along and Ive ended up with all 3! As a result, I can't see this getting much use. Nice bass plays really well. Weighs in at just over 8lb. The only noticeable ding is on the neck. You can feel it but doesn't bother me at all. The neck is also less chunky than I was expecting. Chunkier than my JV P but not a baseball bat as I've read in some reviews. Below is the link to the ad where I bought it and there's a pic there. I'll try and get some more up later today http://basschat.co.uk/topic/300966-squier-classic-vibe-50s-precision-in-lake-placid-blue/ £220 collected from BB22SH or £230 posted to mainland UK. More for overseas and the buyer would pay international bank charges.
9.
Excellent bass . What colour mate?
It's black.
10. Now definitely up for sale as new headphone amp has replaced it. Silent rehearsal, in ear monitoring unit. Been using this for a few months now and it's brilliant. We now rehearse in my conservatory for free. We have saved far more in that time in rehearsal room fees than the Jamhub cost. The only reason I'm selling it is, we have a Behringer X18. The X18 has 6 aux channels which is enough for us to have individual mixes using headphone amplifiers, which effectively make the Jamhub redundant for us. Info here - https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/JHBEDROOM/live-mixers/jamhub-bedroom-for-5-musicians Plenty more info on the net though. I bought this as new a few months ago. The seller said, he bought it new and never really used it.Really compact unit in good condition. Shows signs or wear around knob on channel 1. Up to 5 musicians. We use a Yamaha electric kit on one segment, 4 other members on the others. Comprising of, 2 guitars, 1 bass and 4 vocals, plus more available. Everyone gets their own mix. Can equally be used live for in ear monitoring and FOH etc. Includes 5 mono to stereo adaptors (that you need). One original and 4 new after market ones that all work for us. Remember all this can be done silently using headphones. Original box included. Pics to follow. Any questions please ask. Will ship at buyers risk for £12. Pick up and demo from BB22SH preferred though.
11.
Geddys Nose is now one of the few people I know with a 16x10 rig :-)
And two vans!
12. Ideal srarter instrument or, paddle for sinking canoe!
13.
I picked a Ashdown Mag 8x10 up for £60 recently, Knocks my BF Big Twin into a cocked hat IMO for tone and spread but weighs 65 Kg. Always had Ampeg Fridges and only sold them due to the weight. I'm looking for a Lightweight version and will probably sell the BF.
+1 for the Ashdown Mags. Great cabs but need a van just for the bass gear...
14. Just got one of these. Bought the blue one that was up off Shambo. Would have preferred this colour though. I was a little bit worried about the thickness of the neck but it's fine. Its chunkier than my JV P but not what I've read in some reviews. Really like it. GLWTS
15. Bought a bass from Andy. Amazing packaging! No nonsense transaction. Everything went as it should. Deal with confidence. Thanks again Andy. Dunc
16.
Tempting... very tempting.
Get ye behind me Karl. I only need a 1x10!
17. Traded a bass with Paul. Easy deal. Zero complications. Nice chap, came over to my mine and we had a bit of a chin wag about all things bass related. Always nice to meet a BC'er in person. Thanks Paul. Cheers Dunc
18. A mate of mine was a roadie for a bit with the Fu Fighters. I'm amazed as he doesn't know an input from an output!
