Never had a blue bass (or bluish!) but they are growing on me. A mate of mine bought a metallicy blue anniversary P back in the 80's. Gold hardware, white plate. It was a fancy thing indeed. Sounded great and weighed a ton. About 10 years ago I asked to buy it from him and he said (rather red faced) that he had swapped it for 2 record decks! He is still absolutely devastated at what he did. That's what them there E's do for you... I often remind him! What date is the Millstone? (Blatant advertising of course ) -
Could pick it up instead and have a months holiday with the savings! Saying that it's Switzerland so maybe a week!
http://basschat.co.uk/user/22897-mark-david-phillips/
Status offline. Last Active Apr 03 2012 10:42 PM. He only joined on the 19th March of the same year!
Well perhaps he should've taken heed and stopped ripping off punters stupid enough to part with cash for his abortions
I whole heartedly agree with you!

Withdrawn as it's a really great bass! Lovely semi in great condition, that I believe was made in the 90's. Currently strung with Smith's roundwounds. But will also include a set of used but perfectly usable Thomastik TI low tension flats. These are over £60 on their own. USA pups. Plays very nicely. May trade. Try me with anything! May also trade PX for Ipad or macbook. Sorry no cash my way... Sale value £365. Trade value £400. You would have to arrange your own courier though. I have no hard case so I cannot insure it or I would willingly post. However, it would be very well packed for transportation. Could meet up/deliver depending on distance. I'm in Blackburn, Lancs. Will get some decent photos up later. These ones look a bit pink!
Why is he He-who-must-not-be-named? I'm a relative newcomer to the eBay corner.
If there was such a fellow as "He-who-must-not-be-named", I would suspect that he was a Basschat member and may have been a tad irked at some of the comments about his work...
That plan is impressive; I better up my insurance in case you decide the simple thing is to team up and rob it from mine!!
Makes the whole thing easier now you too are involved. We must keep it quiet type bump for a great plan and guitar
Could work. I'd need to come round when you're out and rob it off you (it'd be fine, I'd give you a week or two with it first, I'm nice like that. ) and then you could claim the insurance. J.
I love it when a plan comes together!

Always loved the guy. I know people will say he was the pin up boy etc and his early bass was played by Jones etc even later on Sandanista by Norman Watts. It still remains The Clash had great songs and bass lines in which Simonon grealty contributed. Really great simple repetitive stuff. He has always made me feel that "complicated" bass just isn't needed. Especially when you have a guitarist as talented as Mick Jones! OK, I'm a biased Clash fan!
That's a thing of beauty alright - an SG1000/2000 is pretty much my dream guitar. Unfortunately the money to buy one is also a dream. GLWTS! Jon.
We could half on it and I get it for the first 25 years? It will be worth a fortune then! Its a win win for you
Judging by this pic it seems as if he's a bike 'improver' as well, checkout that sidecar! Once auditioned a drummer who said all the right things. Before the audition we went and picked his kit up. Carried it all up the attic steps. He set it all up. That's when we discovered he had never played drums before. He didn't know it would be that hard apparently. Why he had a kit i will never know. Our guitarist told him to go away and practice really hard for 6 months and get back to us. I felt like throwing him down the attic steps with his kit behind him!
That refers to Saturday then. I had some bitter moments on Saturday as well. Namely the 3 hours it took to do J22 to J20 westbound on the M62 . Hence the delay in replying to PM's on Saturday. Anyway, all Sat/Sun/Mon PM's now replied to, ta very muchly
Full of bitter again and I still have beer goggles for this gal. Oooooh if only....
