I think we need to combine our cabs, itsmedunc, then we can BOTH experience the combination. Second thoughts, that sounds a bit GAS inducing...
If you ever want to try out the combination, it's easily do-able! I'm sure I'd love the sound of the pair!
If you already have a Midget and you've ever wondered why people pair the Midget with the Compact, then this is your chance to find out on the cheap. It works. It really works.
This is my plan! Just got the Mrs 2 bottles of red...

Traded this a little while ago for a project but again the project is a no go! Nice bass, plays well and since I got it, it's been hanging on the wall. Approx 38mm at the nut. A much better description and pics than I can give are in the link below (hope you don't mind). http://basschat.co.uk/topic/269008-traded-gone-westone-thunder-jet-unique-figured-top/page__p__2863763__hl__westone%20jet__fromsearch__1#entry2863763 Collect, meet up or arrange your own courier. I'll make sure it's packed well. Would prefer to ship with neck off. May trade.

Hi Roj, most noticibly, strap button on head missing. Pity the bridge and pups aren't visible. As above cloth wiring and green cap. Think it should have EX printed too but my JV 57 doesn't have any date written on the heel as I recall. I'm sure the holes were already in the plate for the covers but I dont think the body was originally drilled for them. Not sure about holes for a thumbest? Theres a few JV's in the links below that hopefully will sort any doubts out. Looks ok to me. 21 frets is the place to go though... http://innadaze.blogspot.co.uk/2010/08/1983-jv-62-fender-precision-bass.html http://basschat.co.uk/topic/225016-now-sold-1982-jv-squier-62-ri-precision-sunburstrosewood-l600/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/198338-withdrawn-squier-jv-precision-sunburst/ http://fenderbass.vraiforum.com/t2115-SQUIER-Precision-Bass-RI-62-serie-JV.htm http://www.gitarr.info/squier/pbas.html

Sure there was a big kick off there in 1066 as well. Sounds like a bad place to play to me...

That slim neck profile looks brilliant. I've had a few Jazz basses USA, Japanese, Mex in my time but this looks to be far far superior. I think the Classic Vibe Jazz which has a great neck has tried to capture this profile too. If I had the money, it would be on its way to England. Being Oly white it also matches my JV57 Precision!
There was Jazz model with similarly extended horns around this time so I wouldn't be surprised if there'd been a Precision too, although I haven't seen one before.
The Long Horn!

Bought a job lot of JBL's and these 4 are surplus to requirement. Well used but work fine. £130 each or £500 for all four. Collection from Blackburn Lancs would be the best option or could perhaps meet up. Feel free to arrange your own courier. The specs for the cab are here - http://www.jblpro.ru/pdf/EONSYS15.PDF Will get photos up ASAP.
I am still trying to work out what is missing in my bass technique since I do not get wear like that on mine
Sandpaper mittens would be my guess... -
