1.
Morning dunc ,I have something that maybe you might like .ebs pro neo cabs 250 @8ohms per cab 27lb in weight each cab with tweeters ,I do miss my chilli cabs .cheers kev
Hi Kev, you certainly know how to tempt! I could really do with getting back to 1 cab at the moment unfortunately, hence looking for a Midget. Are these the 112's?
 2.
Great cabs these - only sold mine cos I couldn't find a second one

Same here!! Happy with what I replaced mine with but these cabs are fabulous and would have loved a second one. GLWTS.
If you had both kept yours, you both could have had a pair!
 3.
Great cabs these - only sold mine cos I couldn't find a second one
Thanks for the +1. I've not had the second one long. They work together really well. After using one on its own for rehearsing for a while I was really surprised how much pairing them up increased the volume and over all sound.
 4. I've had some interest in splitting the cabs. The only way I would split them would be if I had a definite buyer for each of the cabs. Prices would be - £210 for the one with no cover (thats what I paid) and £225 for the one with the cover. Shipping would be an extra £25.00 per cab or arrange your own courier. If anyone is interested let me know. I may have a buyer for one already. Both cabs are in very good condition. Both have tiny imperfections but nothing serious. The white piping on one has been pressed in slightly but would be easily enough sorted but has never bothered me. Only one has a cover (not shown). Good looking cabs, they honestly wouldn't look out of place in your living room! Both 300w 8ohm. They weigh in at 12.7kg each. Specs at - http://www.purple-ch...bs/pcb112nt.htm These cabs are truly lightweight and sound great. Been using them with my Markbass LM3 (which is also for sale - http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 ). Together they sound really well and are ridiculously loud. Last gig with the LM3 was set to under 3 and I had to turn down as the PA guy told me I was drowning out the mix. These cabs really shift some air. The only reason for their reluctant sale is I really want to downscale (again!) and get back to a one cab solution. So, I'm looking for a Barefaced Midget and probably an Orange Terror Bass head 500. Will consider trades with any of these but will listen to other trade offers too. Can probably ship, meet up or you can collect from BB22SH.
 5. I've stopped trying to sell anything on Ebay totally. If I remember rightly, if you add a Buy it now, your auction starting price has to be 40% lower than the Buy it now? To me that means you either have to start the auction 'high' (Buy it now 'high') or put the Buy it now at a 'too' tempting price or that high there will be no chance of selling it. By the time you have paid ebay, their postage cut and paypal fees it's not worth selling anything on there. I sort of worked out that by the time I had paid all those it knocked 20% off the final selling price. That's a big fee... Also, why would a buyer pay their fees when BC has a marketplace that is far cheaper and with far less scammers!
 6. He bought the neck from here - http://stores.ebay.com/The-STRATosphere It could well be from a Japanese Deluxe.
 7. The sellers honest enough reply to my questions - Hi! Sorry for the late reply... The bass was originally a squier but I have changed the neck and also the pickup! This was what the bass was originally but I have added upgrades as you can see, the only original part of the bass is the body - http://www.andertons.co.uk/electric-basses/pid20675/cid682/squier-jaguar-bass-special-short-scale-bass-in-candy-apple-red.asp?LGWCODE=20675;56375;2717&utm_source=googlebase&utm_term=0328800509&utm_medium=pricecomp&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping&gclid=CP39i8P6hsUCFRHLtAodxzQABQ Thanks! I wish he had said where the neck come from though!
 8.
I havent got an issue being asked to turn down. We play for the venue/function/party, so if they ask you to turn down, you turn down. Where i have an issue is when we have an hour to soundcheck before the function starts and we wont have another chance to get levels right until we play, and the manager comes to tell us we need to turn down, alot, 5 minutes before soundcheck finishes. We'd been playing for 40 minutes, fine tuning the mix levels, and 5 mins before the end of our soundcheck he tells us this. Usually it would just be a case of taking everything down in equal amounts. But the problem here was we were already quiet! My amp was already at the lowest volume output, before no volume was coming out. I had to set it to as quiet as possible, then cut the volume some more onboard my bass! We aren't a rock band so being loud as hell isn't a problem, but we were asked to play so quietly our brass section didnt bother with mics. This wasn't a small party either. It was in a function hall with 250 guests. Sent us in to a small panic to be honest. It all worked out well in the end though. Had a good gig, got a few good bookings from it. But we were asked multiple times to turn up. So should this venue state no bands when they take bookings? They didn't seem keen to have one.
Wow! 40 minutes for a soundcheck? I've been playing live for 35 years and never come close to that! Luckily, we have a really good PA company now who we trust. If they says it's right after 5 minutes, it's right. Management at venues often complain that "it's too loud" etc but mostly have calmed down by the time the band is on. If the bar is busy they usually won't complain again. It's what they do!
 9.
Bump for a nice pair!
Oooo errr. What a Carry On type bump!
 10.
I think that's exactly what it is. Odd, though - what happened to the "proper" body? Jon.
His feedback as a buyer is 7ish. I think 4 of them are from places that sell musical equipment and spares. Maybe the neck or body came from one of those. I've messaged him and asked when he bought it and from where, as I cant find the model. No reply as yet though...
 11. Cant understand why this hasn't sold. One of the best 2x10's out there!
 12. Looks like a VM body with chrome knobs as said. The neck could be from a Japanese Deluxe - http://en.audiofanzine.com/electric-fretted-bass/fender/deluxe-jaguar-bass/medias/pictures/a.play,m.343150.html T serial and gold/black logo...
 13. Typical really, I was looking at buying 2 of these new and then 2 Purple Chili 1x12's came along...
 14. I think Jah Wobble uses the Ashdown BTA400. This must be a hell of an amp!
 15.
Pulling out was the best choice. The promoter was taking the mick there!
Pulling out was definitely the best choice but we have a good few people who travel to see us. It had been advertised for a while too, so rather than sit at home, do nothing and disappoint folk we decided to do it. Once we got the PA sorted of course. I spoke to the promoter and it sounds like is heart is in the right place but he is genuinely 'clueless'. He reckons he has put loads of bands on and all of them had brought their own PA. Considering the artist 'agreement', I don't think he even knows what a PA is. It sounds to me that he may have put a few bands on in a couple of pubs before...
 16. Punched plates on Ebay - Serial - 407790. Fender 1973/74 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ae76adcf5
 17.
Bump,for dunc ;-)
Cheers Kev, your Eden 2x10 and this 1x15 make a great combination! For the price of the two that we are asking, you couldn't buy the flight cases they come in!
 18. Amazing! 20 bids on an old bit of woodchip paper. I wonder if they regret bidding now!
 19. Update! They have come up with the money for a PA! Saying that, it's from the lad we always use and we get a ridiculously cheap rate for an excellent rig from him. It would have enlightened them more if they'd paid full whack though! Still, a good result I suppose... I think...
 20. Bought a cab from George today. Exactly as described. He dropped it off too! No worries here. Deal with confidence. Thanks George. Cheers Dunc
 21.
Well I used to think it was just snare and cymbals, but after a couple of gigs on drums I started to notice how variable it is! Now I take everything except the toms and kick drum.
+1. That's exactly what we do. I wonder what the 'promoter' would have thought if we had turned up without the toms and kick!
 22.
So if they're expecting you to provide the PA, they're also expecting you to be there all day running said PA, all night for the after festival party AND play a gig slot all for £200... ...sod that.
For some reason, he expects every band to bring their own PA that day? A different planet comes to mind...
 23.
Name and shame I say. Save the rest of us the hassle!
Into The Valley Festival in Clitheroe (Ribble Valley). Venue for aftershow party - The Rose and Crown. Promoter Mr Potter...
