    I'm kind of tempted to say at best its a Mexican neck with USA logo applied or one of the Chinese clones. Its hard to tell as all the 'important' pics are so blurred. I cant see any USA with truss rod access at the headstock, plain generic looking tuners or wonky serials! To be honest his feedback does not instill any confidence either

    I'm getting obsessed with this, the serial numbers are wonky and I'm sure the tuners are wrong too. Oh dear, hope I'm wrong because somebody has bought it!

    Do you mean the model or the style of bass? Never owned or played a violin type bass myself so cant comment on either. I was tempted to buy this off ebay though just to find out. [/quote] There doesn't seem to be a lot of the 'original' bass left. Previous owner told me etc... that type of comment always sounds like a disclaimer to me. Unlacquered decal, cant guarantee neck is genuine? Corona neckplate (available on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Corona-Neck-Plate-/271522053732?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f37f9be64). I found the previous link via the precision sellers feedback. So, he has bought something there recently. Same goes for Bobsguitars49 (also found via his feedback) they sell guitar decals. Quite a few of his purchases are from guitar accessory shops. It just sounds like a 'bitsa' being sold as a Fender....
