    The reason i ask is i am looking for my first bass. I like the look of this, but am just trying to work out if it will suit my needs. Im looking for something just to play in the company of myself and to play the likes of Oasis, Phonics, Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters. Maybe also a bit of Beatles, queen and even blues bass. Im just trying to find something with a nice tone, which is beginner friendly and the right money. Cheers Zog

    Cheers for the welcome! Busy at the moment trying to understand whether I want jazz or precision, active or passive pickups! Solid body or hollow body! So much to take in, but a lot of answers I am finding around here!

    Thought i better say hello after signing up last night. This is the bit which will shock though.....i dont actually own a bass guitar! Ive been learning/playing guitar now for the past 8 months and own a Cort Z42 and a Crafter GAE 15, but im looking to branch out a little further and pick up a bass to give it a go and broaden my horizon. I stumbled across this site after i stuck 'bass for sale' into google. Ive had a quick browse around, there is definitely a lot of info im trying to take in, and im sure ill be guided along to the perfect base when i work out my budget and what im actually after!     Im thinking about this! 8 months into learning to play the guitar, looking at getting a cheap bass to try as well. Will be i touch once ive assessed funds!
