1. I bought a pair of Aguilar GS112's from Mark last Wednesday evening, and am very pleased with them so far! We spent a good few hours chatting away, and indulged in a mini gear-fest before doing the deal (I brought my Nordstrand-loaded US Jazz and Squier JV P-Bass along, whilst Mark owns a lovely Overwater fretted 4 and a gorgeous custom fretless 4!)- We both agreed that the combination of my GB Shuttle 6.0 with the Aggies made for one killer compact rig! Mark was a very hospitable seller, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him, his wife, and their cat!
2. Had a good look round and couldn't find a feedback thread for Bob, so let me start things off... I bought a Tacoma Thunderchief ABG from Bob last Saturday- I drove down with my girlfriend to his place in Tewkesbury to pick it up, and found him to be a lovely fellow with a collection of instruments to die for (and I only saw a few of them! ). Great communication throughout the deal, an honest seller, and makes a great cup of tea- what more can you ask for? Etienne
3. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure to meet you both! Bob, I used the Thunderchief live for the first time on a radio session yesterday- it was mic'ed up and sounded huge through the headphones! Hopefully it translated well across the airwaves too... Michael, well we got there in the end! It was very nice to meet you (briefly, anyway!)- I hope your family enjoyed their day out, and let me know how you get on with the cabs!

I just sold my Bergantino HS210's to Michael today- met up with him in Bingley and found him to be a most decent chap! Great communication throughout- the deal took a while to sort out for various personal and logistical reasons, but Michael was very honest and kept me in the loop at all times. Would definitely deal with him again... hope you enjoy the Bergs mate! Etienne
5. Greg just took delivery of my amp stand today- it was a pleasure to do business with you sir! ps I'm not actually a Scouser- more a refugee from Milton Keynes!
6. Thanks to all three of you for the smooth deals! Enjoy your new toys...
7. Bump! 2U Flightcase still available folks! Mike wanted to buy this, but unfortunately there is no possible way of shoehorning an Ampeg SVT-3 inside, unless you hacksaw vital bits off it... Just to reiterate, I reckon you could fit a head of up to 11" in depth- possibly 11.5" at a pinch. A Tech 21 Landmark 300 fits beautifully, and so will many Gallien-Krueger heads (although you may have to drill some holes in the case above where the fan would be).
8. Agreed, that's crazy money- even for an example as sweet as Jojo's! I paid £300 for mine a year ago after finding it in a shop in Darlington- I must admit I felt pretty smug walking out the shop! Mine's the '57 version in white with a maple neck- I put my '79 maple-necked Fender P (a really nice one too!) up for sale after A/B'ing it against the JV- that's how good I think it is!
9. PM's replied... Amp stand sold to Greg AKA Shaggy! I wonder if I can make it 4 out of 4 before midnight?
10. BUGGER!
11. Speaker now sold to Paul AKA Prosebass- this is going well, isn't it?
12. Rotosound flats are now sold to Matthew AKA Magee. I've PM'd you back about the speaker Paul! Steve, I've checked the specs of the stand- it can handle loads up to 50KG, but I'm not sure how stable it would be with a whole stack on it though! This would probably work best with either a combo amp or a single speaker cabinet- I bought it to tilt one of my Berg HS210s back so that I could hear it better on a small stage. I've just revised the price of the amp stand to £20 excluding P+P in the meantime...
13. Right then... I'm having a bit of a clear out at the moment (as is everyone else it seems!), so these items are for sale. Shallow Depth 2U Flightcase: I acquired this 2nd-hand and used it for several years to protect my old Tech 21 Landmark 300 amp, of which it did a sterling job! Well gigged but rock-solid, it will accomodate a 2U rack unit of up to 11" max depth (possibly 11.5" at a squeeze)- I fitted some side handles on it last year which make it even easier to use! See photo below... £20 collected- will post at extra cost. SOLD! Fully Adjustable Amp Stand: Made by Athletic Stands. I bought this new for £40, gigged it once and decided it wasn't for me. Tilt-adjustable cradle and two height positions, very sturdy and in excellent condition, still in the original shipping box. £20 collected- will post at extra cost. SOLD! 12" PA Speaker: Made by Skytronic. I bought this new for £60 last year to use in a (now-aborted) project- this would be ideal for somebody building ther own compact cab! As new, in a sturdy MDF shipping cabinet. £25 COLLECTION ONLY! Too damn heavy to post this... SOLD! SPECS: 8ohms, 300w RMS, 4" voice coil, 120oz ceramic magnet, 94dB SPL (1W/1M), Freq. response 25Hz-4KHz. Rotosound Monel Jazz Flatwounds: Used once on my P-Bass, then taken straight off again- excellent condition! £5 posted. SOLD! PM me if interested- Thanks for looking! EDIT: EVERYTHING NOW SOLD- THANKS EVERYONE!
14. Thanks Bob, it was a pleasure to meet you and your wife too- hope the gig went well last night! We ended up going for a picnic just outside Tewkesbury, before coming back into town to check out the Abbey and the local shops... thanks for the info! The bass is fantastic by the way- can't wait to try it with the band! I also repaired the hardcase when I got home and it's sorted now... For the record, Bob is a lovely bloke to do business with, and makes a great cup of tea too!
15. I played this beauty yesterday at Bob's place- believe me, it sounds amazing! So much so, that for a moment I seriously considered taking this home instead of the Tacoma Thunderchief I had actually come to buy! It gets very close to Macca's sound with a pick, and sounds amazing fingerstyle- such a fat and woody tone! The bonus is that it's laughably light in weight as well- you could play this standing up all day and not feel any discomfort afterwards... Have a bump from me for a very nice man and a cracking bass! Etienne
16. Damn it, now I'm thinking about one of these as well! Just about to sell on my Bergantinos to WoT too as it happens... Has anyone here played a Compact through a Shuttle 6.0 by any chance?
17.
Just a quick note to say I was over at Bob's the other night and got to play this bass, it is very nice indeed and worth the money in my humble opinion, so someone buy it before I rush back over!
Don't worry, I'm on it!
18. I tried the same one at Bass Direct- it scared (and nearly emptied) the cr@p out of me! The SPL even at half-volume was verging on painful... Anyone who needs more stage volume than that is either Lemmy, or insane. Great amp though...
19. I just sold my Microbass II to Mark (surely that's just greedy owning two isn't it?! ). A totally hassle-free transaction, swift payment and great communication... just how it should be! Thanks mate!

Feedback for sk8

Isn't it just?!
21. Can you put me 2nd in the queue for your 212 please NGH? I'm seriously considering one after I've sold my Bergs...

Feedback for sk8

I just took delivery of a Genz Benz Shuttle footswitch from Mike today- it was very well packed (my girlfriend loved the purple paper on the outside! ) and promptly shipped out. The footswitch looks and works great, and was a fair price too! Thanks mate! Etienne
