1. My loss too- wasn't quite quick enough this time!
2. I bought the remaining one in the end! I've replied to your 'wanted' thread btw Bassmanc- let me know what you think!
3. Just checking here... are these the earlier non-ER cabs? EDIT: Answered my own question! Whoever picks these up is going to be ecstatic when they get home and plug in...
4. B*ll*cks, I missed the boat here! Has anybody else got one of these to sell?
5. 10,000 Days by Tool- I love this album and the two before it (Lateralus and Aenima)- all feature the creativity and gnarly Wal tone of Justin Chanceller, who is an absolutely brilliant player. Listen to 'The Pot' on 10,000 Days for a wicked example of funked-up pickstyle progressive hard-rock (Think Sabbath meets King Crimson).
6. Glad to see that Matty's getting on so well with my old Ashdown Minis! This is what ended up replacing them (and my Landmark 300) All bought used too! I love this forum... Yes, another Berg/MB convert! The LM II's from Flanker, the bottom HS210 is from TerryK, and I completed the rig with another 2nd-hand HS210 from the US that I stumbled across on Evilbay late one night. I've owned this for a good few weeks now and it's killer. I gig with just one cab most of the time, as it's usually more than enough (even with a LOUD drummer!)- I bring both out when FOH support is either non-existent or just rubbish. I'm still getting used to how focused and plain loud this rig is- I really can't see me ever needing anything bigger! For classic fingerstyle with either a Fender P or J, I just plug straight into the LMII with some VPF dialled in and it's fantastic. For pickstyle and heavier stuff I just put a Sansamp BDDI in front and run the LMII almost flat. Sorted!
7. Thank you all- glad you're enjoying your purchases!
8. Hey mate, check out Lee/Leland Sklar's sound- his main recording and live bass for years was a Fender-like hybrid with twin P pickups. You can hear it famously on James Taylor's 'Your Smiling Face' where it features in a bass and drums breakdown- it sounds amazing! You should be able to find an audio clip or vid of that track on a certain website beginning with Y... Hope this helps!
9. Richard bought my Roscoe Beck IV a few days ago- he called up yesterday afternoon to say it had arrived at his end, so hopefully he's had a chance to try it out by now! It was a pleasure to do the deal with him- great communication throughout, and paid by instant bank transfer too! I quoted him £18.99 to cover the postage- he sent through £20- just a little thing, but nice all the same! I would definitely deal with Richard again, no question!
10. BUMP... this is now reduced to £40. I will also sell the speaker separately (with its own MDF transit box) for £30 if anyone's interested- that's half the price I bought it for earlier this year!
11. Don't worry mate, somebody will jump on this! Berg stuff never hangs about that long, 'cos it's brilliant gear! Have a bump on me...
12. ***WITHDRAWN*** The RB IV's definitely going, so I'm going to keep this after all!
13. It certainly has been! I'm up to my ears in bubble-wrap and cardboard packing it up...
14. Hmmm, think I'm going to check up some more on the JV site! Seeing as my Roscoe Beck has provisionally sold (at last!), I may now keep this. I'll have a think over the weekend...
15. ***SOLD!!!*** Hooray! It's funny how things work out on here isn't it?
16. ***WITHDRAWN*** I bought this earlier on in the year- as you can see from the pics it's been well played over the course of its lifetime, which makes it all the cooler I think! This is either an '83 or '84 model- the serial number is JV52613. As far as I know it's original, apart from some of the scratchplate screws. The scratchplate itself IS the original single-ply white plastic one, but it has been sprayed gold at some point by a previous owner- I reckon the paint could be stripped off easily if desired, but I think it looks better this way! The pickup and controls are all original and unmolested (I had a peek!). One minor thing- the tone pot is a little crackly & stiff, but doesn't cause any problems once it's set! The hardware is oxidised, but works fine. The neck is really comfortable and smooth to play, and the frets have plenty of life left in them. The finish has aged to a lovely cream- the hairline cracks you can see near the bridge are only cosmetic! This bass is fairly lightweight, plays really well, and has a lovely mellow vintage-y sound... Fitted with worn D'addario Pro Steels. I bought this without a case, so it doesn't have one! I'm looking for just £400 for this... no trades please! More photos and info on request. Collect from Liverpool city centre, OR I can deliver within 50 mile radius in exchange for fuel costs, OR I will ship, again at extra cost. PS The strap and plastic straplocks will be supplied, but not the pick! Thanks for looking...

RIP Leftysteve
Very sad news - did not know him but again, the `family' aspect of this forum comes together in wishing all his family and loved ones deepest condolences...x
+1 to that, RIP.
18. Fair enough mate, it was worth a try though! Happy hunting...
19. Nice one Smash... now buy my RB IV!
20. Still here everyone!
21. Can't see this hanging about for too long, £1200 is peanuts for such an amazing rig! I'd love this but I'm just about to take delivery of my 2nd Berg HS210... Have a Berg-sized BUMP from over the water on me Steve!
22. Didn't sell on Ebay this time round, so it's back on here again! REDUCED TO JUST £700 FOLKS!
23. Which album did you mean mate? 'Because Of The Times' is the most recent one I've heard, and it's ace! Jared's turning into a really cool player these days... his part on 'On Call' makes that track! Seriously, some great songs on this album people... check it out! Edit: just noticed the thread title... duh!
