  1. They're great strings. As you know I've got through quite a few different sets but always eventually put back on the old flatchromes. I really fancy trying these on my other bass but unfortunately the tax man has wiped me out, you don't fancy a swap for a set of Evahs (C ext) by any chance?
  2. Hi Damo, Are these the originals (White/blue spiral silks)?
  3. Hey Clarky, glad you're liking the bass and I know what you mean about the sound not sitting so well. The one thing I was going to change on that bass before I sold it was the pickups. I really had my eyes on a set of Dimarzio model J's for it. They're meant to get quite close to the P sound from the neck pickup. Don't get me wrong, the original single coils are amazing but they just didn't sound thick enough for me in the mix.
  4. Beautifully made strap in cow marble antique classic. This is the short version but unfortunately it doesn't go short enough for me (I'm too skinny and play sitting down most of the time). Has a small scuff on the inside but otherwise it's in good condition. £35 posted *NOW WITHDRAWN*
  5. Great tuner in good condition. Complete with box. Has a Buzz Feiten mode so very handy for MTD owners. Sadly I no longer own my 535 and have plenty of other tuners so this is surplus to requirements. £30 posted *Edit - SOLD*
  6. In good nick, plenty of life left in it yet. £10 posted
  7. I'll take the ebs please!
  8. Hey Clarky, My vote goes to Malcolm Healey as well. In fact one of mine's going to him tomorrow for a major restoration.
  9. Hi Russ, I have a fully flightcased UL112 if you fancy some sort of trade. I only ever use mine for on stage monitoring/studio and personally I find it complete overkill for that type of thing. I'm based in SE London so not too far away. Cheers, Chris
  10. I've had 2 full size orchestral basses and a passenger in my corolla before. It wasn't exactly the most comfortable of journeys though.
  11. Back up for sale. Will be based in Birmingham over Xmas if anyone fancies trying it out.
  12. Gwil, I'll take it if it hasn't gone already. I'm London based too so no shipping needed.
  13. Hi Douglas, Bryants are great basses for the money. I know a few guys that play them as their 2nd instruments. I'd definitely be checking it out if i needed another bass. Have you advertised it on www.musicalchairs.info yet? That would be my first suggestion (it's where a lot of orchestral musos list their basses and I sold my Mentec bass via that site last year). Also because of the price, it should be of a lot of interest to students so knock up a good PDF advert and send it to the relevant departments at the royal academy, royal college, Guildhall, royal northern, trinity, royal Scottish and any other music college you can think of. Good luck with the sale

  16. Cheers for the offers guys, some top notch instruments. I'm afraid I'll have to turn them down though as I need the cash more than yet another bass! Cheers anyway

  24. Thanks Mick, those look great. Afraid I'm going to have to pass though as I would have no way of trying them out before trading. Cheers anyway, Chris
  25. Hi Slapierro, I'd love an F bass but unfortunately I'd have absolutey no use for the high C. Cheers for the offer though, Chris
