1. Add a Fulltone Fat Boost to the list. Not sure what the current version is like but I used to have a v1 that sounded epic with a p bass with flats.
2. Tune the octave harmonic rather than the open string. Use a bow too if you've got one. IMO all tuners struggle with open strings on DB.
3. Excellent condition Reid Hudson double bass bow made 2011. Vigneron style stick, silver mounted. 142g. Comes with original purchase docs & valuation. £2800 Available to try out in SE London. *SOLD*
4.
Hi: please, let me know if can you send me this amp to USA-FLORIDA zip 33166. I pay your amp and the shipping cost. I have PAYPAL . thanks.
Apologies but due to logistical reasons I'd prefer to keep this is UK only sale
5. Classic combo in well used but perfect working condition. Had a full service about a year ago and has hardly been used since. Still one of the very best small combos available for bass in my opinion. This is the version with parametric mids & chorus. Comes with a Thon flight case in good condition. £300 collected from SE London. No offers & no trades please unless you have a Basswitch DI Excuse the sideways photos... *SOLD*
6. Great condition little hardcover Bloomsbury edition of the monologue play by Suskind. For some reason I've ended up with two of these. Essential literature for any double bassist's library. SOLD
7. Retro 3/4 size gig bag. Brown leatherette material with real leather handles. Very little padding but lightweight. Well used so comes with plenty of scrapes. Hole in the bow pouch & one of the handles is beginning to come away, probably an easy fix if you're handy with a sewing machine. Best designed handles I've ever come across on any case, the large one on the rear goes over your shoulder & you steady the bass with the other. Collection only from London SE6
8. Now on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232253626387?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
9.
Hi I'm after a Spiro D if you have a spare one of those? Thanks Tony
Afraid not Tony, there's only what's listed now.
10.
Hi, I'm a bit new to the world of double bass - I'm after a Spirocore for the low E string on my 3/4 bass - would this be ok? Thanks Matt
Hi Matt, I'm just about to take a medium Spiro E off one of my basses. It's the 4/4 version but I've had it on a 3/4 bass for the past 6 months with no problems. How's £20 posted sound? (the one listed in the original post is a low C extension string & will be way too long)
11. Daddario Kaplan heavy gauge standard set - 6 months use - £40 Says heavy gauge but these feel like mediums to me, similar tension-wise to Flexocor. Great loud arco orientated strings. Price includes postage, no trades please SOLD
12. Good condition bridge cover. £10 posted *SOLD*
13. No idea what these are. Loose wires but if you're handy with a soldering iron I'm sure you could get it running with minimal effort. £10 posted
14. Good condition speaker cable. 5ft long, gold plated jacks. £10 posted
15. Great condition passive instrument switcher pedal. Selling due to lack of use. £55 posed UK *SOLD* *No trades please
16. Great condition with storage tin & documentation. Awesome pedal but selling due to lack of use. £150 posted UK *SOLD* *No trades please
17. Yes, they're pretty much the industry standard jazz string for a reason. Unfortunately this bass really needs the mittel version though!
