I made this video for my band, it was really fun to do. We filmed at a derelict victorian gasworks in birmingham and used some mad multi-camera setups, I'd appreciate it if some of you guys had a look... let me know what your opinions are, I'm very pleased with how it came out. Don't know if Nile Rodgers can rip off his own style? And there's vocoders! I love it.

Hah! It's an interesting recording process...there's no plugins, no EQ or reverb, and no software instruments or DI. We're keeping it completely natural, and hope to press onto vinyl. We've only ever done heavily electronic stuff before, with upright bass chopped and sampled so it's completely new for us, very exciting!

I may have to sneakily post one up, with risk of being fired from the band! I reckon we've hit our peak already anyway

I think we're going to hold off sharing until we've got the EP finished, so there's a whole package to show people...which hopefully won't be long. Can't wait, I've gone all giddy!

A new band, new songs and now recording a new EP. It feels so good. I'm using a MM Sterling > Terror Bass > Barefaced super12 and it sounds ridiculous. The tunes are loud, funky, chaotic and I love them - got a rough mix of one today and I'm absolutely delighted with what we've created. Here are some photos, and some songs coming very soon. And Disco, I love Chic, but pretty much hate KC and the Sunshine Band. Funk, to me, is a nothing without George Clinton. Best gig I've been to this year was George at the 'Mostly Jazz' festival in birmingham. Gritty,raw, musical chaos. What's not to love about a huge party on stage and off stage?

Tower of Power are not in the same league as James Brown, you love funk!
