1. Excellent!!
2.
Have you tried the Roadworn basses ? they're as alive as a wriggling bucket of eels
Aren't they just the same but with some patches of wear caused by a belt sander...? Fenders = sweet.
3. Gorgeous. I didn't think there were any fretless P basses made recently - awesome looking thing!
4.
Lets not forget his classic Killing..tone which had to be an EB Musicman but that was from waaaay back at the beginning!
The bass tone on that entire album blows my mind...frikkin' stingrays are EPIC!
5.
I can pull some awesome 2band EQ stingray tones with the circuit and the lead pickup solo'd.
This made me LOL.
6. Nah, Victor is the same. Juan is just BURSTING with soul and FUNK.
7. I am just seeing if there is any market for this on basschat, as I don't want to go to evilbay. This is only for sale to raise some money for uni. Details here: http://www.vintagesynth.com/misc/virusb.php It is in reasonable condition, got some scratches and all that - it's a classic after all! I would be looking for around £350. Ta Edit...pics up soon! xx
8. It'll probably be awesome. DO it.
9. Someone on here had changed the pickup and it worked a treat - but all the people who have changed the pre-amp wished they didn't. It has that MM vibe you won't get anywhere else... There are many 'solutions' in thread here, try them all out. I've never had this problem, but I've always had perfectly set up stingrays.
10. No, the Silver Series is the same as the Silver Series. There is probably no actual difference between them though.
11. Ah yes, I see I have been beaten to it. Bollocks!
12. I love Eds demos. And the bass. I've got time for that.
13.
The Bongo shares the same pickups and electronics with the Sterling, although it's only available with a rosewood board (again: to some may sound slightly or vastly different form a Sterling maple).
No it doesn't. The Bongo features neodymium pickups, 4 band EQ with 18 volts...it couldn't be more different to the Sterling! The Bongo also has completely different pickup placement and body wood. It sounds absolutely nothing like a Sterling...although you know it's a MM!
14. That trans red Ray... ...I've got time for it.
15. What is the 'squint string pull'? And is it such a bad thing? Looks like a bass headstock to me.
16. I've got time for that.
17. I'll only buy it if I don't have to come and collect it...
18. Completely badass.
19. By the way, the on in the pic looks like an absolute belter. You should not think twice about getting that!
20. I've had twp StingRays and not had the quiet G problem, some people do but I think it is mainly a setup issue.
21. Beautiful. I would love to get a fretless ray again, especially one like this.
