  1. aaaaaaaahhAAAAAhhhhhAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
  2. I've used the DI for recoding and that sounded good, but I'm sure I read somewhere that they were made to be miced up. Might have read that on talkbass. Ample power with the matching 210 cab for recording and at - home practice.
  3. It's been my at - home practice amp for the last six years or so. Used every day, never failed to power up or anything. The only think I had to replace was the switch since I use it so often. Sounds great! My only criticism is that the fan noise is a bit loud but hey, turn it up!
  4. When I was about 13 I had a go at putting a parts bass together. I got an awful Tele body from eBay or somewhere and a full scale P bass neck. Needless to say that the bridge was in the wrong position so it wouldn't intonate but I didn't understand that at the time. I mixed creosote with red food colouring to stain the body and that really didn't look too bad. It had two 51 P style pickups in the Tele positions and I seem to remember that I wired up them pretty good. Think it was all firewood after a year or so 😁
  5. I used to use my 750 with 2 rs210 and 1 rs212 cabs. I wish I had a picture. It was a mighty sound but total overkill. I thought the rs212 was a bit heavy for what it was so I'd plum for the rs210.
  6. Matching headstocks on fender style basses 😷
  7. I don't own one any more but always thought Stingrays look great with the 3+1. Nice proportions.
  8. Will definitely be checking this out.
  9. I saw those on Facebook too. I can't tell if it's all a joke not.
  10. Get a Kiogon loom from off here. Pickups? Fender custom shop '62 P bass or a Lindy Fralin.
  11. I've had a similar sound when playing with a fresh set of daddario chromes. Went away as the strings settled in. I've experienced this with 4 sets of the same string.
  12. Concerted effort to reduce the pedal pile again. All pedals are in excellent condition with boxes / manuals etc. Postage to mainland UK included in the price. I'm in Leicester. Edit: no trades thanks. Latent Lemon Audio Brassmaster - £125 Bought new on Reverb for £150, used a few times but I find myself chasing a big muff fuzz tone at the moment. Really great sounding and faithful reproduction of the Maestro B:ASSMASTER. Can often be a few weeks lead time on these, mine is available now 😉 Emma Electronic Okto Nojs - Sold Great analogue octave and gated, harmonic fuzz pedal, just add a filter and you've got a great synth set up. Very touch-sensitive and the two sides of this pedal interact very nicely. Aguilar Filter Twin - £115 More classic funk tones than you can shake a rhythm stick at. Walrus Audio Phoenix - £150 Seriously heavy duty power supply. 15 outputs with a variety of switchable voltages and currents. Excellent noise filtering and fits underneath most pedaltrain type boards with the included harness that I bought separately. I bought this from Reverb used and I believe there are two 9v cables missing, but thats all I initially received. Cheers!
  13. That'd be interesting!
  14. Still available!
  15. All sold now, thanks.
  16. I probably have poor technique but I always found the D string a bit too skinny to anchor my thumb on. It just feels more comfortable on the A and I can make the stretch okay.
  17. I'll check for both of those things tonight. Honestly can't remember!
  18. I came across one in an antique shop the other week and I had a quick Google but couldn't really find anything other than one was made for keyboards as well. Think it was about £60.
  19. From the TC electronic Instagram page...
  20. I use the cruztools stagehand. All quality stuff and it's all I need and more to set my P bass up. Small enough that it slips into my gigbag too for on-the-gig adjustments. Think it was about £22 from bass direct.
  21. That many knobs makes me nervous.
  22. Sold pending the usual.
