Yeah, I've just been back through my inbox in an attempt to find the listing. It is indeed your pedal and it is silent, yes. I had an older wren and cuff phat phuk (not the one in the above picture) which thumped horribly as well. I couldn't stand it but they sound great. My current one (which I think it's the newer and more vibrant pink version) doesn't do that.

I've only used a five string (which I borrowed) once with it but it sounded fine. Again, I used the five string for about 10 minutes so not really long enough to make any real impression. For what it's worth it doesn't give up the ghost when used with an octave, it just gets bigger. Mine has an 'Owen Electronic' sticker on the inside so I must get round to messaging them to see if they worked any sonic wizardry. Maybe somebody just put that sticker inside but it really does sound fantastic 😉

Phat phuk B for a bit of always-on colour. Very light drive just for a bit of grit. BB Pre (in my opinion) is probably one of th most versatile drives out there, so this covers overdrive and distortion sounds. The super russian is a huge fuzz so that's a bit different. Valve drive from the ABM600 is good on its own but doubles as a booster if a different drive pedal is already on. I am going to change things up a bit today or tomorrow. Essentially: more drive = more good

Latest revision, fits right into my Mono Tick and the Ashdown Fs4 makes things pretty flexible.

I mean, there is a possibility that it could have been a duff tuner like you said, but I've had (I think) 10 sets of Hipshots of varying types and I'm yet to have a bad one 😁

I imagine the bass has probably taken a knock at some point as those basses come with quality Hipshot tuners.

Just to parrot other posters in this thread, ABM600. I have the foot controller as well and I really can't fault it. I used to be an 'all-valve only and nothing else will do' type person but the Ashdown really changed my mind.

Yeah I had Jack's make me a black anodised guard at one point. Good people, price and turnaround time.

I got a guard from this account. Look like similar guards but maybe slightly cheaper? https://ebay.co.uk/usr/fenderparts I bought from there as he had a range of 57/58 style 10 hole precision guards. Good stuff and fit perfectly.

I'd say it's good. I'm used to using a diamond bass compressor, so pretty subtle compression, but I'm growing pretty tired of carting a big pedalboard around. I'd say the ABM comp is on par with the Diamond. I had it around 3pm the other day and it was pretty squashy. I like it best around 10 / 11 o'clock.

@jrixn1 Great, thanks for that. I have that ad saved on my eBay watch list so you've saved me a bit of deliberation there! @Al Krow Yes it's annoying isn't it? Why can't they just screw them on instead of riveting them!

Large pedal board is out the window now that I'm using an Ashdown ABM600. While the amp is taking care of the boring stuff like tone and compression the nano board is go! Cioks Adam underneath doing the (not so) heavy lifting. Just need some larger rubber feet so I'm not putting pressure on the power supply when I step down. Fits in my Mono tick too so that's one less thing to carry.

Tuners? Don't those come with the Hipshot lollipop ones like on the JMJ signature?

Always rated Canadian stuff; Godin, Traynor, Diamond etc... A Godin shifter has sat in my local music shop the last couple of years. I've been eyeing it up recently but haven't taken the plunge yet.

I think a quick acid bath would soon sort things.
