1. Good to see it's coming along nicely!
2. That's rather nice looking grats, get it up and running and let us know how it sounds
3.
I like MM's but that one doesn't float my boat.
+1
4. Hmm yeah i was wondering about one of them hamster, but i don't like how it's longer than an MM bridge, it doesn't have sring mutes so it seems a little pointless, though i could always chop it down and tidy it up a bit maybe. EDIT: i could always buy one of those bridges you showed me there hamster and one of the newer 4 string OLPs that come with the more authentic bridges like this one and swap the bridges over and sell the OLP on, of course the danger of that is falling in love with the OLP and losing some money... It is quite pretty
5. hmm, not a bad starting price at all then.
6. Hmm, how about an original badass? That has 3 holes too (does anybody know of any other bridges that might fit because i can't see myself getting hold on an EBMM one to be honest)
7. Hmm let us know how their service is, i'm thinking of buying a badass III from them at some point, they seem fairly cheap, though i'm not entirely sure what the going rate for them is
8. As long as it has the kettle lead it's definately worth it! Also I think there are still some bargains to be had on the bay! most definately!
9. That's pretty nice looking, i've always wondered about hondo, sounds like a bit of a bargain too!
10. so what does it sound like FOH then?
11. well i don't see what else i could fit to it apart from a crappy OLP bridge unless i can miraculously find an EBMM bridge.
12. I'm not planning on mutilating a beautiful musicman, but rather planning a bit of a project i may be having a bash at with a SUB bass body and i was wondering if a BadAss would fit as a musicman bridge is going to be a bit of a ballache to find. I was thinking the BadAss III might fit as it has 3 mounting holes, does anybody have any experience? If not does anybody know of any other good bridges that might fit?
13. I think £650-£750 depending if it has a nice birdseye or flame maple neck and if it's in good condition.
14. You always get idiots that try and list their gear for ridiculously high prices, he'll learn once he's listed it two or 3 times and not sold it.
15.
I think £900 is solid price for one of these they are the balls
Quite literally
16. PM'd
17.
What? The bass or the fact that I'm such a helpful chap!
Haha both it's rather nice looking that bass...
18.
is it just the way the pic looks, or is the nut scalloped in some way? maybe a Buzz Feiten compensating nut?
Aye all the EBMMs have compensated nuts now i think And flamed 20th SR5 single H maple board and unpainted headstock all the way
19.
No - it adds phase cancellations and unpredictable sounds. How does adding, by your own admission, a rubbish sounding cab to a pretty good sounding cab make it sound better?
Because when i put them together i can't hear the 115 as much as i can feel it, i like to be able to feel the bass as well as hear it.
20. I know what you mean, some of them look really beautiful (candy red with abalone p/g), but some of the other colours really do bring out the toilet seat in it...
21.
What about this?
Korg tuners are awesome, and cheap, get one
22. Love that trans red dean, VERY pretty the Z tour looks pretty nice too, wouldn't mind one of them
23. I think you guys are being a bit harsh on him, people do after all outbid peple on ebay, it's the general idea. Considering they're expensive basses off the bat combined with the fact that that's probably the second one i've ever seen on ebay and that i've NEVER seen one in real life i think it could well reach £1000 if it was in good condition.
24.
And I'd say it's pretty rare, yes.
Ugly as f*** too.
25.
What makes you think adding a 15 will get a full tone?
It adds the low end.... the 115 in my rig sounds rubbish on it's own, the 210 sounds pretty good, but i like having the 115 in there just to add that low end rumble to it, though it would be fine without it.
