1. How did it get out the box then???!!!! here
2. nice G&L, also is that stingray a musicman or an OLP? and is that a status neck and badass bridge? if so why did you change the bridge?
3. Yeah, it's easy to do, i've done it before, make sure you get some jack plugs with decent cable clamps on them though because i've ripped them right out before. Basically what you will need is: wire cutters wire strippers soldering iron solder wet sponge and/or flux to clean the soldering iron with an even number of jack plugs instrument cable If you don't have a soldering iron or anything it would probably just be cheaper to buy patch leads, they're only like 50p to a quid each.
4.
Billy Sheehan(sp?) for me - not a fan personally, although I haven't listened to a lot of his work, but I think 'shredding' on a bass is tantamount to murder!
+10000000 I HATE Billy Sheehan's playing.
I agree with the Flea thing. I just don't get the 'thing' with him..
He is overrated, but i think he's amazing, even if you don't like the music surely you can appreciate how technical his playing is?
5.
hi does anyone now if a badass 2 will fit on a fender mexican p bass
Should fit on most fender basses i think, the badass 2 was designed for jazzes and precisions.
6. you're just picky though i think you're right about the spalted wood
7. the black one ^^^ but only because i don't like red basses and that scratchplate is rather ugly (sorry) Am i the only one that finds fender basses hideous with painted headstocks? Same with most musicman basses too.
8.
Chris Wolstenholme. He does a great job with Muse - he has a very original style, his sound and lines are an essential part of the band, he has taste and uses his effects to great, erm, effect. On the down side, everyone and their mother now have a Big Muff or some other device that turns their bass into a fart generator and litter Youtube with pathetic renditions of Hysteria. Fuzz used to be a really cool effect but nowadays it´s done to death...
Yeah i used overdrive/fuzz loads when i was just starting, now i realise it sounds like crap and i've not used my overdrive pedal or wah for ages. Also i think rob trujillo has had a negative effect on metallica, i think he influenced them towards the nu metal sort of side of things, though that could have been the fact that st anger was rushed due to his alcohol problem and numerous other things, we'll see how death magnetic turns out, not good though probably.
9. everyone has to start somewhere i guess. Looks like they literally just started up a couple of days ago, got some decent stuff there too.
10. yeah nice fence you've got there! the basses are alright too i suppose... Haha just joking, awesome collection man i'm really liking the white ones with gold hardware, very classy Just out of interest, how many non-spector basses do you own?
11. i don't like painted headstocks on some basses, musicman stingrays and fenders in particular, just doesn't suit them. Adversely it does suit other basses like ESPs and the like. It's all subjective. Nothing's stopping people getting a luthier to spray the headstock and getting the decals put over the top, so i guess a lot of people like it unpainted.
12. i like my ernie ball super slinkies (55-110)
13. i know someone that's played with enter shikari back when they were less known (and still utterly crap), though i can't remember who supported who.
14. Does that have a tweeter in it?
15. That's very strange indeed! maybe it has a piezo pickup?
16. wow, bet that backline has a bit of trouser flap!
17. yeah i've heard they're not bad, i thought about getting one... then something must have knocked some sense into me
18. haha, yeah that would be nobbzey, the guy that looks like matt tuck i think he's 20, me and the lead guitarist are 17 and the drummer (dude with the long blonde hair) i think is 18 or something, i think he's done a few gigs before too, i think the only one that hasn't is mat, our lead guitarist.
19. lol i've done a few gigs before (3 or 4 probably) and my rhythm guitarist/singer has been on the metal band scene around here for years and he's done loads of gigs so he knows what he's doing up there. It's only really a tester gig, but as long as people like the music i don't really care.
20. ahhh thanks
21.
If only you were 5 inclined Ahh go on give it a bash ;-)
I do have a five, but since the purchase of my musicman, it hasn't seen much use and i couldn't warrant buying another one
22. Can anyone explain to me what FoH means? I've seen it being used a few times and i have no idea what it means!
23. damn... if that was a 4...
24. It's not tonight it's next friday thanks anyway And for those in the area, would be cool if you could come down or something, i think it's £3 on the doors at 7pm ish at rolls royce social club in hucknall (gate 1 on watnall road)
25.
Hehe. Not the most confidence-inspiring way to sign off an ad.
I was thinking that myself
