That is beautiful. Mine is exactly the same except I've stuck a mirror pickguard on it. Can I just ask you how you are posting your photos? I can only stick tiny little thumbnails on.
Cheers, was a lovely bass, sold it a while ago though. I don't get on with wide necks much any more. I host my photos on photobucket, then copy and paste the URL of the photo (not the URL of a web page) into [ i m g ] [ / i m g ] tags but without the spaces. Hope that helped.

This thread is making me think twice about putting my Streamer $$ up for trade, it sounds MEAN!!

That looks incredible! Looking forward to seeing the end result. I love seeing oil finishes going on woods like that, really makes the grain stand out. Gorgeous!

Musicman SUB bass project - 2012 update, actual progress!!
budget bassist replied to budget bassist's topic in Build Diaries
I don't think I've got it anymore mate, but I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know. -
Ok, I took some photos, sorry about the quality, i just took them on my phone here you can see the bit of PCB with the pickup inputs, on the left is BPU with B and W inputs, and on the right is NPU with B and W inputs And here you cans see the pickup wire for the SD Basslines pickup, 5 wires - red, black, green, white and bare (it needs stripping back a bit, i know that) There's also the Status pickup with a single core and ground, but I didn't take a photo of that. The rest of the pre seems fairly self explanatory.

Hi I'm finally trying to finish off my Musicman SUB project, after a long delay, and I have some questions. So I'm wiring up this bass with a Seymour Duncan Basslines pickup and a Status pickup. I'm trying to find out exactly what wire does what on the Basslines, but the only info Seymour Duncan seem to supply is how to wire up the pickup to existing circuits/preamps (such as retrofitting to a MM Stingray). Can anyone yield a bit more info on this? The other issue I'm having is that I'm wiring it into a bongo pre, I think I've figured it out, there's inputs for each pickup on the PCB under NPU and BPU, obvious enough. But the points labeled on the PCB are just B and W, I'm guessing for black and white, relating to the black and white wires connected to each coil on a standard MM pickup, so how does this relate to what I have on these pickups? I'm not entirely sure how this Basslines one is wired as there are five wires coming from it, one of which I'm assuming is ground. Then there's the status pickup, which is just a core and a ground wire... Do I just attach the core wire to either of the B or W inputs and the ground to ground? I think I have the rest of the circuit sussed though, there's BRBR on one part, I'm guessing for the two 9v batteries, and then TRS, which is obvious enough, and what I'm guessing is a ground wire next to them which appears to be connected to the sleeve, which is ground anyway right? I'm guessing this ground wire needs earthing to the bridge or something?, but I'm not too sure. If anyone could confirm, that would be useful. I realise the guys on the EBMM forum probably know more than you guys, but I'll likely get eaten alive on there! Cheers

Aye I've tried the wire wool trick, it did help a bit, but I couldn't fully get all the dirt out. I think those photos may be pre-cleaning it anyway, I'm sure it's less noticeable than those photos suggest. I wouldn't hold your breath anyway mate, it's a nice bass, and I don't think I'll be willing to let go of it unless I find a suitable trade. Ahpook - yeah tell me about it, one of these in black stain with gold hardware would look the dog's danglies!

I'm considering trading my Warwick Streamer $$ for something. I'd quite like a part exchange with cash my way in the region of £100+ really. I'm also now considering selling outright. About the bass, it's a natural ash body with an ekanga(?) veneer in the middle, dual humbuckers, gorgeous 3 piece flamed maple neck with ekanga(?) stringers and wenge f/board with brass frets, chrome hardware. No fret markers, only side dots. Two band active electronics with panning, active/passive and coil tap switches. It's in decent nick, a bit of discolouration on the front of the body where you rest your arm, but it's not too noticeable. Electronics all work as they should, though it would benefit from a setup. It'll come with a warwick gigbag and user pack, though it's running low on wax, and the truss rod tool has broken, but they're only a few euros from Warwick. These photos are a couple of years old, but the condition of the bass is pretty much the same. More here. I can't really get hold of any more, as the bass is in Wales currently, but I can head over there to collect it should somebody be interested. If you're really desperate, I may be able to persuade my housemate to take some photos. Trade-wise, I'm after something modern, with a small body and slim neck. Active electronics and humbuckers are essential, no Fenders or anything along those lines please. I'd quite like something like an Ibanez Soundgear or something like that, though the more aggressive the sound the better. I'm valuing the bass at around £600, give or take, and would like around £100+ my way in a part ex as I need to get some amps repaired etc. I may be up for a straight sale, somewhere around £500. Cheers.

For sale, I have an Ashdown MAG 115 DEEP cab. Specs are the same as this I do believe, but it's an older carpet covered cab with a blue speaker. Last I checked (a couple of years ago) the cab worked fine. I don't have anything to test it with as all my gear is at my student house in wales, but I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't work. If you want it, you're welcome to bring a bass and amp to test it with. I'm asking for £60 collected from Nottingham, but could be willing to post, if you arrange collection and pay for it yourself. sold pending payment etc I also have an old carpet covered Electric Blue 180 head, specs are here. It's been broken for a good while, I had it checked out, and the power supply is gone. It would have cost me more to have it fixed than it's worth, so it's just been sat around. Could be a cheap/easy fix for somebody that knows what they're doing. As far as I know, everything else on it works fine. I'm asking for £15 collected again from Notts, no point posting really unless you arrange it yourself. SOLD The 2x10 cab is not for sale.
