brand new in vintage white compleat with fitted yamaha branded gig bag and tool kit. I got this bass in a trade and it has about 1 hour playing on it. Build and sound are amazing. These as you know retail about £750 this is yours for £500 and £20 for post (24). I will post pics if needed but it is mint, with a great set up. Im accually looking to sell this for the 5 string version, if it was this would not go, or a trb 5. Latest speck latest yamaha. Not looking for a trade unless its for a 5 string TRB or a 1025 or a nathan east at around a 1000£....bank transfer or coc, no pp please thanks. These are very high quality basses with a super jazz/p sound full of growl and openness and the feel is h end as you would expect. Yamaha retail price is £890! crazy i know, but shop price is around the £750 mark..... 07757875566 ta>

5 string players - what gauge strings do you use?
greyparrot replied to TRBboy's topic in Bass Guitars
45-130 on me gigging bass but on my JD (4) 30-90s but i dont gig it.. The heavy gauge strings offer a stronger more powerful sound better for live (me thinks) -
How To Make A Good Looking And Sounding Youtube Video
greyparrot replied to urb's topic in Recording
hello iv been doing you tube vids for a while now bassmanrich44 channel this is what i do;- i bought a multitrack recorder a couple of years back i was lucky and got the yamaha aw4416 at a great price, simply amazing unit. You can buy many of the older trackers for penuts and the quality is great, so i have a great older hd video costed £500 a few years back got it less than a ton, makes many of the ones you get now look like toys....so i vid me and record me on the tracker, then i upload both video and audio to my laptop and i then use a mastering program (free) to get the volume right and then save it as a wav file in highest bit form (u tube supports this) then i simply sync up the audio with the vid, using the standerd WMM add some fx for a bit of fun, and thats it, save it in hd, upload to u tube.....BUT i think one of the most important bits of gear are i think the head phones....you need to get a flat sounding can so you dont go crazy with too much bass. Also i use boss cans they have a flat frequency responce. Thats how i do it, the longest part is uploading to you tube the rest is as fast as you can get a good take.....i love doing them, its good fun and you make freinds on you tube as well, not too mention great way to sell a bass, or yourself ....hope this helps, maybe check out my channel asee what you think of my way. cheers. -

Evening fellas...have decided to sell a newly traded stingray 5. The condition is perfect other than 2 tiny marks one on the headstock (about 2mm) and 1 (2mm) just by the neck plate...tiny not a ding, other than that its mint, no scratches B/R or anything i can see. It looks stunning, and plays great. Im selling as i have 3 basses at the moment 4 with this one, and i use an old yamaha 5 string for gigs, i think i would be scared to dink this beut.....so it stays at home, silly it should be used. I also have a JD supernatural that i like and an upright. Im really not looking for any trades but if i would trade it for a status headless 4/5, or a top notch yamaha like nathan east ...but im sure there are wonderful basses i may trade for. The trade value i put at about 1k, but for a cash sale @ £750. This is a knockdown price to reflect the crappy cash flow out there at the moment. I may take very close offers. The bass really is stunning. I will confess im not a stingray chap, but thought id give it a go, but not for me really, although this is the warmest MM i have ever played, i guess due to the RW board. It has 3 band eq and a selector flick. Needs a new set of strings so leave that to you. It comes with a good rock bag, also in very good condition. I will post pics tomorrow in good light but heres a wee vid and sound clip of the very bass. I will post in the uk only at a cost of £15, thats with a 24hour service in fragil dept, i will also deliver to london for fuel, or meet around essex/hertforshire/cambridge or come on come over...hehe.........No pay pal, just cash - cheque or bank transfer please. I think this is a great price for a great bass, and in a way sad to see this baby go, but it needs to be used. I checked out the serial number and its a 2004 and all as it should be. It has a neat white pu cover as well, also original spec. These babys are £1600 new, and this is a really nice color in fantastic condtion. I will let it roll here for a couple of days then i will advertise it on a few (4 other sites, not ebay ) but BC has been good to me so i hope i can offer a good bass to someone here at a price that reflects the climate and that it will be used.....anyhoo heres the clip...heres me moby 07757875566 and any qs fire away........Thanks. in the pics you can see the 2 marks i mentions they are not dings more like a light pencil color mark, other than that the bass is perfecto... Custom 5 String Jazz Bass Beauty **TRADE PENDING**
greyparrot replied to Rumple's topic in Basses For Sale
Just wanna say i saw this bass today as i did a trade with Rumple, and the super jazz really is a stunning looking bass. If your in the market for something like this, this bass seriously should be checked out. If it had overwater on the head stock it would be double the price. Also Rumple is a sound chap, he even made my hound welcome............. cheers, Rich. -

Hey all, i recently traded this but its not for me, so looking to sell for £1000 cash or trade for high end basses. i can put a little cash on top, or even add a decent eub, seen in my you tube channel as well bassmanrich44 The bass is in great nik, looks awesome but more orange than in the vid, i dont have a camera at the mo but can txt some on and a cool gig bag. Looking for an older jazz (70s) or maybe older p another 5 string?? no fretless. Not looking for waricks or anything that does not live in the uk or JAP/MEX basses or basses that have amazing wood cause i would be scared to work it live! (but not ruling them out!!) fenders are my choice also 100 miles of cm8, (no post deals) unless you wanna come over! more than welcome......my dream bass i guess would be a 7-early 80s jazz.....the bass can be seen and heard here..... and you can call me on 07757875566 i live in essex but can meet within 100 miles, but you can come to my house for a more chilled out look. I get on with the bass fine, i just dont feel its me somehow.......... any qs ask away.....
Has anyone else had a drummer freak out on them? I play regularly with a drummer friend of mine in a few different bands (a big band, a '50s tribute show and a function type outfit) and I've know him personally for about 15 years. Over the last few weeks i've noticed that he's been slowing down during numbers (especially during upbeat numbers) and didn't know whether it was through bad practice, no practice or intentionally pulling the band back for effect. it's worth noting at this point that when i notice him slowing down i try to push him with what i'm playing but he usually clean ignores me. Knowing what a sensitive issue this sort of thing is with drummers, I spoke to him about it in the car on the way back from a rehearsal the other day (I didn't want it to seem like I was having a go at him in front of people/ peers/ colleagues). I spoke in the most inoffensive way I know how tried to be constructive yet-not- patronising and asked if a) he was aware of the problem and to please correct it. Toys out of pram - hasn't spoken to me properly since. how should I have approached this? I mean, none of us like to be told we're wrong, but I was trying to help - he's not a bad drummer and I wouldn't like to think he might lose work because of an issue like this (the tempo not the stropping) was this a rant? if so, I'm done
he may be unwell?? or try a click track, but do tell him.....
