YAMAHA PSR 9000 V2 WORKSTATION. This keyboard is not the normal cheap home jobbie. These retailed at £2500 about 8 years ago. The last one i saw was selling in allegro music for £1000! still! Im asking £350 that includes the stand. This is not to be confused with the new 9000 (a cheap board at £90) This is a pro workstation keyboard. The keyboard is heavy over 50lbs in weight. It has a top sound system built in. It has an amazing drum section, belive me im a bassist of 30 years and this drum section sounds the nuts! It has a large blue lit lcd display that has various screens to guid you through. It has an on board digital mixer (by way of the screen) and a full function recording section (16 track) This keyboard is in as new condition, and also comes with a cover and detachable music stand. It looks pretty cool too-not tacky at all. The sounds and functions on this thing are endless, you can use it as is or really get into the system and edit all the sounds. There is even a mic input with vocal reverbs and compression! all available via the built in digital mixer. I bought this about a year ago and paid £500 from a friend who hardly ever used it. Im selling as i just need a drum machine, so the rest of this chaps functions are a waste for me, and this unit will be awesome for a keyboard player/wannabee. I tried to look for some for sale, but these are pretty rare now, and many hold on to them for there amazing functions. It comes with all the instuctions which are vital. This is a great home or gigging keyboard great for newbies or pros, and a great recording tool as well. Photos are available via email. Would be looking for a pick up or a meet near to essex. You will not find anything anywhere near this quality short of spending over £1000, so this is a real decent buy. The list of functions on this are too great to list but i recomend having a google. £350 and its all yours! Email; Thanks for looking, Rich.

I had the 5 string metro and was top quality, and so was the neck and sound, but the finish was far too boring for me, but other than that very good. I did also find that the finish seemed to mark very easily, and was a worry on gigs. As for sound,, great stuff, would i have a metro again? no i would go for the better top woods of the NY =, but then again, i would not spend 2-3k on one of these, i would go for a handmade job. Oh for what its woth, i wul never buy a metro new, £1700 seems way too much for it, but £1200 new would be more like it, and £900 for a top condition 4 string.

Well i bought a georgeous redburst 4 string funkmister from Wes on here about 3 months ago, and i have to say that this bass really is a super jazz! The slap sound is incredible, and the finger style playing leaves the others in the shade! I have to say that the controls are pretty sensitive, and there are masses of gain in the tone from the 18v emg pre amp. Although masses of gain, it is also very musical, but i find a slight boost in bass and treble gives the bass all the punch i need. I guess as this is a one off hand made job, you cant just go to the shop and try it. I have had spectors, lakelands, fender sadowsky warick etc, but the tone and playability and build quality in my opinion is better that the said basses, in some cases my many times. I have to say, im very happy with this bass, although its a 4 string, (i prefer 5's) its worth every penny!.
Im having a strange feeling!! Although i have two amazing sadowsky's i can't help having gas for a fender jazz!! Ive even been looking at the road worn series, which is odd for me because im not usually into beaten up basses! .........i know my NYC Sadowsky is a definite keeper so im considering selling my RS4 Metro to get a more vintage sounding Fender!! Does anyone have any good advice or opinions on what to go for? i'll most likely be going for a second hand instrument, either a part ex or straight trade depending on what fender it is! a few questions: Are the new 09's worth the money? should i look for a custom shop model? What about a proper vintage bass? 60's/70's? Any thoughts/ideas would be great Cheers
Iv had a sadowsky, fender and now a zoot funkmister (in the last few months) I also know i will soon have another fender-why? I have no idea, the sadowsky and the funkmister beat a fender hands down for sound, looks and feel BUT they are not fenders. 90% of all music is played on a fender. When i play a fender, and see fender on the head stock, it to me looks very cool. When at a gig and in a break, i look at the bass on it's stand, and see fender written on the head stock, it feels and looks vey cool-why? i dont know but it does. would i record with a fender over what i have now? i don't think so but would i gig with a fender over what i have now, including sadowsky?YES - why - because its proberbly the coolest bass ever made, both the P and the J so don't feel strange to have a GAS for a fender. And in my view the 09 jazz is the best one to date, go get it!
I have a Sei Jazz, had it a while, usualy start getting some kind of GAS at this point, but it is the first bass I have had for a long time that hasn't took me down that road, and at this point I don't see that happening!! The playability is great, feels so nice, I do have a few niggly issues with the electronics in it, but plans are in place to fix that, probably with an Audere pre and eventually some Nordstrand p/ups, not sure which ones yet. I also have coil taps on both my p/ups, keep knocking the switches, so I'm thinking only the bridge p/up will be tapped next time round as that is the p/up that will benfit my sound the most. I also have a multicomp on my board, but use it with my fretless more than my Sei Through a TD650 and 2 4x10's it sounds the nuts, very focused sound Tony
HEy Bubinga 5! How many basses have you got now?? Yep those Sei basses are well built and sound great, although the one i tried a while back did sound a little to middly for me, but nowdays you can make a bass sound like whatever you like! Enjoy it. I thought the sadowsky u sold me was awsome but could not live with the vinatge vibe. I think this funkmister i have now is pretty unbelivable in all departments, but will get it set up soon for me. Maybe post some pics of the bass? ATB Rich.

If you can get a good deal, go for the 08/09 US jazz. Great build quality, great sound, great case! and it will sell quite well compared to mex etc. The new Jazz and P basses are top notch, and if you can get one for like £750 is gotta be worth it. At the end of the day a Fender JAzz is just that, and no sandberg/sadowsky/lakeland will ever be a Fender Jazz. They may copy the tone, and even sound better in some cases, but they wont sound like a true jazz bass. when i had my jazz, I tryed a lakeland jo osbourne, and while good, it did not have that growl of the fender.

Heres what a p bass can sound like! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlxNpNQSujQ J. Scheff makes the P bass screem in that solo! and R.Tutt on the kit.
Rather pathetic BUMP
Im a great fan of Jerry Scheff and saw him using this at a recent gig (but the US model) I played one of these in the bass centre and it has a great tone, and really nice neck, with rolled finger board, and a solid feel. Has a very singing kind of tone, a little more mellow than a jazz if i remember right. Good luck on this one, its a great bass made for a great player! (see my u tube siggy!)

Please abide by them, lest the warning-dishing-out-monster be unleashed. Thank you.
It is a stunning bass though looking at those pics. The early JV's Are great. I had a Jv salmon pink tort shell a while back, and it was stunning to play. One of the one's i wish id not sold!
Hello everyone, Long time lurker, first time poster so I thought I'd see if this tickles anyones fancy on here before it goes up on eBay. For sale is my 2005 American Deluxe Precision in cherry sunburst. I've recently acquired a 4003 and I'm no longer using this bass enough to warrant keeping it. Will be sad to see it go as it's been well looked after by myself (although there is one very small chip in the finish on the bottom near the jack). Comes with original HSC and all the candy; leather strap, cleaning cloth and polish, truss rod tool, etc. £700(ish) and I'm located in London. Can post more pictures if you want them Matt. Very interested, have Pm'd you
