  1. Top guy to deal with, great comms and all round nice person. Enjoy the bass!
  2. Incoming bass, so this must go - try a derisory offer or trade, peeps.
  3. If you want to arrange and pay for it, and I'll ship it when your payment clears, then the answer is yes.
  4. Cheers Karl - appreciated. Don't worry about repeat football posts on FB - I only did it as Sunderland won 4-0 away from home. It'll never ever happen again!
  5. Bump......and by the way, recent set up and jack socket replaced.
  6. Price drop - £700 Warwick Streamer LX4 from 2002. A little bit special as it has the pickups placed as per a Thumb, and a 3 band EQ. Bought from a fellow BC'er, and in vgc. Weight is 3.3 kilos or about 7.3 lbs in old money, so nice and light. Collection preferred from Redditch/ Bromsgrove / SW Birmingham area. Feel free to call in and try it. Can deliver within reason, or for cost of fuel if further afield. Can also ship at your cost and risk within the UK - I have an old hard case I can use. I'm not really using it, so thought I'd put it out there for a trade, and see what's offered. Needs to be a four string, but other than that, try me. I'm especially keen on Spectors, Stingrays and Fender Geddy Lee Jazz basses.
  7. .....and sorted - thanks.
  8. I bought a Streamer from a fellow BassChatter several weeks ago, and have used it quite merrily on several occasions. I thought I'd treat it to a new 9v battery yesterday, and went to disconnect the old battery when....disaster!! The two wires from the battery clip had come away from the pcb. I'm not ham-fisted and was being gentle, but to no avail. I've posted a picture of my powerless pcb; can anyone advise where the black and red battery wires do belong on the pcb? I'm sure it's on the left, by the diode, but which holes and which way round?
  9. Thanks guys - lots of positive stuff there, so I think I'll go for it, but get a grown up to do the clever stuff.
  10. I'm very interested in a German-made Warwick Streamer with a bolt-on neck, only it's one of them there baseball bat necks :-( which I really don't like. Can anyone recommend a luthier in the West Midlands area who could successfully trim and slim the neck somewhat, or is this a fool's errand of the highest order? Is it best to leave well alone and shop elsewhere?? Help!!!
  11. Now reduced to £700 Reluctant sale, but there's this Warwick, you see.......so no trades. For sale my Sandberg VM 4 in natural ash. Sandberg P and MM pickups. Delano active circuit. Low action, lovely player. Completely mint and no dings. Complete with GigBag. Weight is just over 4kilos, or just over 9lbs in old money. Any trial welcome, I'm close to Bromsgrove and Redditch, near SW Birmingham. Happy to do a half way meet within reason.
  12. Yes, but there is that laser......and there's this guitarist.........maybe, just maybe........
  13. Hmmm. I think he's asking what he paid for it. I think I'll leave it.
  14. Due to being made during the Fatneckolithic period, I'' guessing?
  15. Does anyone know anything about this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-Warwick-Thumb-4-String-Bass-Guitar-Custom-Mono-M80-Bag-/152281340095?hash=item2374acd8bf:g:SGcAAOSwzaJYAlZD I'm seriously tempted. It was in BassDirect, but I couldn't get down there to try it; did anybody actually have a go on it? The seller seems genuine enough, according to his feedback. Thanks, Phil
  16. ..and sold, please close. Sorry, Mr Greek.
  17. I've just bought an Ampeg SVT410HLF cab from Chris in what was an entirely pleasurable transaction. He was even able to help with moving the cab to my neck of the woods. Happy to recommend Chris as a thoroughly decent bloke and all round top chap to any other perspective shoppers, and I'm sure I'll be buying from him again when the opportunity arises.
