  1. Clearly previously enjoyed, hence the price, but working perfectly. No box. Price inc. shipping.
  2. Boss EQ-200 as new, with box, manual, etc. Never left the house. 3. Brand new Gator Case GK-2110 with tags. Cost £30 plus postage, yours for £20 inc. postage.
  4. As per the title, really. Case and board in good condition. Velcro underneath for power block. Price includes postage.
  5. Anyone doing that run any time soon? I have two Mesa Subway cabs, and thought it worthwhile asking, ‘coz if you don’t ask… Happy to do fuel contribution, too. Optimistic, moi??!
  6. Thanks Piers, but that’d be more wires, and expense, and faffing, and I’m really digging the Ampeg/Barefaced pairing.
  7. £400 for remaining cab. **Now open to offers and trades - I need the space. Whatcha got? PM me** **1x15 cab now sold** **Amp now sold** **Will ship 1x12 cab** Following my age-inspired transition to a lighter rig (BareFaced Compacts) and a yearn for ‘that Ampeg sound’ from the band, I’m putting my Mesa Boogie Subway rig up for sale. It’s all in extremely good condition, works perfectly, has been my go to rig for over three years, sounds er, awesome, as they say, and has never let me down. It comprises of: * Mesa Subway D800+ head/amp with Mesa padded bag, and even includes the Owner’s Manual **NOW SOLD** * Mesa Subway Ultra-Lite 1x15 cab, 400w, 8 ohms, adjustable tweeter, and Mesa cover - **NOW SOLD** * Mesa Subway Ultra-Lite 1x12 cab, 400w, 8 ohms, adjustable tweeter, and Mesa cover Happy with a half way meet within reason. Split? Go on then…. Amp @ £775 - SOLD 1x15 @ £700 - SOLD 1x12 @ £400 I’ll ship at your cost and risk, reckon on about £50 and I’ll refund any change. I’ve tried to be fair with the prices, and they are currently still rare in these parts. This rig is almost as good as new, at a fraction of new prices, if you can find any.
  8. Just over one page of feedback - why/how are you so content, Graham? Alternatively, why am I so fickle?? Anyways, (yet) another supermarket car park meet up with yet another BCer, and Graham is every bit as nice as every other BCer I've met......which is a lot. Thoroughly good chap, and his immaculate Barefaced Compact is now mine. Only hypothermia prevented us from chatting about all things bass, for hours. An absolute pleasure to meet, and shop, with - many thanks Graham.
  9. PM’d - hopefully it didn’t last long. Quick enough, peeps?
  10. I’m done with Thunderbirds. I’m really done with Thunderbirds. I’m……ooooh that’s firkin’ gorgeous. Want, want and a bit more want. Someone buy it!!!!!
  11. Thanks guys - I’ve had Sandbergs before, so I know the quality is spot on; it’s just this particular bass with it’s ‘differences’. Upper fret access restricted? Not a problem for me at all!!
  12. I’m close to doing a deal on a used Sandberg Forty Eight, based mainly on a combination of curiosity and visual lust. Anyone have any experiences, good or otherwise? Ideally, long term ownership. (I’ve checked the BC Bass Guitar forum, but there’s not that much information or opinions to be had)
  13. Feeler - Jazz trade? **May also consider a Sandberg Forty Eight, or a Dingwall D-Roc** **Okay - I'll ship - you win!! We share the cost, though** Everyone needs a warm P, so they tell me, so I bought a new one this year. Had it set up by Mansons in Exeter, and flats fitted. Bought a black scratchplate and black knobs, all good to go…..and find every time I pick it up, I reach for my Jazz after about 15 minutes. I just prefer the sound, feel, shape, neck, etc. So, here’s a tentative post. I like USA Jazz basses, especially in black/maple. I also like Jap Geddy Lee Jazz basses, also in black. If you have sonething of that ilk, but 4 stringers only please, PM me. Not averse to the odd left field suggestion either. I’m taking a £400 hit on this, and one day I will learn. Back to the Precision; it’s immaculate, no dings, could pass as new, case and candy still intact, and it’s c. 9lbs in weight. Sounds just like a P should. Over to you, peeps.
  14. I don't suppose anyone does a Lincoln to the South West run on occasion? There's this bass, you see - you can probably guess the rest, but just in case, the bass is in Lincoln, and I'm in Tiverton, near Taunton. Happy to chip in with fuel, and meet at a M5 services of your choice. PM me if you can - thanks in advance. Phil
  15. .....agreed, but you're trying to talk me out of yet another bout of seller's remorse, and I'm kinda getting addicted to it. Anyways, the bass I've got my eye on will absolutely, definitely, certainly, be the one, without a shadow of a doubt. Er, probably.
  16. ** It's a bit quiet around here, so I'll open this up to (reasonable) offers and (some) trades - a black MIJ/CIJ Geddy or a black and maple American Standard Jazz would be of interest** Only recently acquired, and it’s lovely….but it’s not doing anything that my ‘75 reissue Jazz already does - guess I’ll just have to start liking the natural finish after all. Anyways, something I’ve been gassing for for ages has come up, so while that’s available, so’s my black Geddy. 2015, superb condition, 9lbs in weight, nice low action, case and candy included. Photos to follow tonight. Price is very fair. Happy with a half way meet within reason (off to Oxford, soon, if that helps), and can ship at your risk and cost, if you arrange it.
  17. I’m quite smitten by the Dingwall D-Roc 4 string standard, but I’m fussy about necks. Apparently this neck is between a Jazz and a P, but I’d love to at least try one before I make an inadvertent purchase (it wouldn’t be the first time!!). As I live in Tiverton, Devon, it’s a major expedition to go to any store just for a try out. So, do any of you lovely people live anywhere near Taunton/Tiverton/Exeter or even nearby parts of Somerset, and would you permit me to at have a try out on your D-Roc 4 string? I’m house-trained, and will bring biscuits - promise!!
  18. Chris had one too many basses; fortunately I was able to help, and bought a Fender USA Geddy Lee Jazz from him. Great comms, guitar exactly as described (i.e. vgc) and thoroughly nice guy. Thank you, sir.
  19. Oh, go on then. Now I can find out what’s not to like about them. PM incoming….
  20. Very interesting, and food for thought - thank you.
  21. I was, and the bass mix for the band on before us seemed to have half of Somerset reverberating to this pitch-less mushy thud which specifically rattled our singer's van's windows, and also the entire green room / blue caravan. Lord knows what I sounded like out front when we were on; my (own) backline was fine as always, but all you can do is hope, smile and pluck. Still, that's festivals for you - more often than not a triumph of attendance over quality.
  22. A double header on Saturday just gone for Turnette Doone aka my lot; outdoors at the Chard Rocks Festival at 1:20pm, then indoors at the Black Horse in Taunton in the evening. Chard Rocks was beset by intermittent rain, but at least it got rid of the wasps. We started playing just after the rain had stopped, and thought all was well, until the wind lifted the waterproof stage covering and a waterfall-esque torrent of rainwater that had been sitting on the covering plunged down onto the front six feet of the stage, fortunately missing us and the pedalboards. Think Duran Duran and The Reflex video, but without the glamour. We promptly moved further back, and managed to stay dry, and also alive, for the rest of the set. We didn't really make use of the 'semi-personalised mobile green room', pictured below. The Black Horse gig that evening was cracking, and drier, bar the perspiration that was flying around. The crowd were well up for it, and all the big choons worked well. All things considered, a great day, and a green room experience we can reflect on, in our old age.
