Just received a Line 6 FM 4 pedal from Andy and have to echo the comments above..he's a great person to deal with!! Despite snow-enfored delays and the Xmas postal rush, Andy went to great lengths to ensure that the pedal got here and when it arrived it, was exactly as described and really well packaged.. Great piece of kit too Many thanks Andy - have a good Xmas!
thanks man u 2! andy

im getting a new wah due to this one being broken. im pretty sure that its just a loose connection inside but i have no time to sort it and i could use what ever cash i can get for it. its a gigging wah but its in reasonable nick, a few scratches really and thats all. im only looking for 30 quid, as im sure a tech could sort this prob very quickly with one or two new parts. any takers? andy
Not sure about the Wah settings, so to speak, on the Auto Wah, but the more traditional funky envelope sounds are meant to be pretty good on it. And no, it wouldn't have to be the official Roland pedal that you used with it for expression control.
ok cool sounds good! any idea what pedals are ok to be used with it? andy

looking to blend clean and dirty signals?
0175westwood29 replied to 0175westwood29's topic in Effects
Actually, if you're concerned about phase etc, your best bet is the Radial BigShot Mix. Has a phase switch, unity gain buffer (i.e. not line level, just whatever you put into it, and you don't have to worry about impedance) and a level control for your effects: http://www.tonebone.com/re-bigshot-mix.htm HOWEVER you should check what pedals you're putting in; some of them like the Wooly Mammoth don't take kindly to low-impedance buffered signals. If this is the case and your blender is buffered you should get something with a transformer inside that converts it back to a high-impedance signal (I think Toasted on TB was selling these a while back, I have #1!), or get a passive blender.
what is the deal with phase issues? what will it do to the sound? andy -
anyone got any views on the boss auto wah and expression pedal? does it have to be the boss expression pedal? andy

hi guys this is in like new condition! ive got the box somewhere with the instructions, but its really easy to use. heres the link to it on the boss site. http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/products/en/RC-2/index.html really cool pedal dnt really wanna lose it but i need a few things for an xmas gig and have to get money pronto! im looking for 100 quid including postage, or trade wise im looking for a good auto wah say like the boss aw-3, the expression pedal to go with this i believe its the boss/roland ev-5 so i can use the aw-3 as a normal wah but any nice wah i might be interested to, but please get in touch if you have something who knows i may want it. andy

you could try out the ehx big muff? i use the ehx metal muff which i love as it has a fairly good eq on it, but thats probs way to savage for your needs.
I've got a Boss PW10 that I don't use anymore, if you fancy it? Never been a fan of wah really, I just liked it for the rotovibe and resonance settings.
is that the one with built in distortion? andy
Hell Yea I think the 450 might be a little underpowered for your needs though. I am sure I have read somewhere in a review the SS Ampegs didn't feel like the power ratings they had stated.
+1! i used to have a pro 6 and that was way overrated, i played a used 450 in a shop and it was going through a 410 ampeg cab not sure if it was hlf or not. but was very quite had the volume at about 3/4 and dnt get me wrong it was loud but i then played a lm2 through same cab and couldnt have it past half was way to loud! i love ampeg cabs but im not to fussed over there amps anymore, the cl and vr's are lovely amps but for the size and weight of the things i dnt think they worth it! andy

hi guys! my crybaby died yesterday, and i have a gig on the 30th, so not got alot of time to hang around but i want to get something decent! ive thought of another 105q but i really wasnt overly in love with it i just really liked the way you didnt have to turn it on! you can just stand on it! ive used a morley dual bass wah in the passed and felt it wasnt really all that great! ive been looking on line and am wondering if i got a second hand boss auto wah and then got the expression pedal is this like having a wah? so i can sweep it with my foot? or does it just change a setting there are no videos that i can find? im thinking also having an auto wah could be quite nice on some of our funkier numbers! andy

the aguilar db750 is a beast! i use it with my ampeg 610 so loud! but can be gritty if i push the gain enough. andy

looking to blend clean and dirty signals?
Gain based stuff is a bit reliant on input/output signal levels and impedance. The FX loop has a tendency to be line (loud) level, and expect that same loudness to be put back in, but gain pedals tend to be more gainy with more going in and output the same signal, so they might all disagree and give you a very distroted, but very quiet signal, plus the impedance mismatch might make it very thin too (but I don't understand how that works).
ok i think i get that! ill try that at practice, tried blending the metal muff with clean using my ls-2 today sounds awesome! think im gonna hook myself up with another ls-2 in the new year so i can switch between the blended muff and probs another blended effect. andy -

i know its not all valve! but i love my aguilar db750! sounds beastly with my 610hlf and believe me its defiantly loud enough to go past two guitarists and an insanely loud drummer. also gets gritty when you crank the gain, not to the level of say an orange ad200b, but enough that its not clean. and it sounds really nice uber clean with some chorus! when i got mine i a/b'd it with a ampeg cl and it blew it out of the water! seriously i can't say enough good things about it! andy
