1. You can never go wrong with a P-Bass with a PJ configuration.
2. C'mon guys... Less hate and more love for Mr. Clayton. The guy is in U2 and maybe he is not the "best" player out there, but what the band have achieved in the last 30 years is undeniable. Regarding the bass... well, it is just another Jazz Bass in a uncommon colour and with lollipop tuners linked to a fancy name/band for sales hype. Personally, the best Signature JB's Fender have brought out are the Reggie Hamilton JB, Marcus Miller JB, Roscoe Beck JB and Geddy Lee JB.
3. I would love a Fodera, the Matt Garrison/Janek Gwizdala models would be "my thing", but just cannot justify the price tag. One day maybe...
4.
Voila! No: 00139, elle vit!
That is lovely! CAR and Maple board is always a winner combo for a P-Bass!
5. I played with one of these B100R's ages a go in a gig and it stood up against a VOX AC30 and a smaller 15w all tube guitar amp. Really nice combo that has a vintage vibe to it. A steal at this price... GLWTS mate!
6. Doug is a very cool guy. I remember ages ago contacting him regarding the B3K and becoming a Darkglass endorser! I remember we spoke about a "new pedal" that was still in the works and finally became their Duality Fuzz. I am really curious about the preamp and if there are any more pedals coming our way soon!
7.
Emma Bunton?
Thought the same...
8.
Paul S @: 4,5 kg.
Damm... Just a bit to heavy for me
9.
I thought the first bunch of Geddys were supposed to be a limited edition - hence the engraved plate - and they became so popular they made them into a full production model.
I never knew that! I always thought that the Geddy Lee model was just like any other Signature Series model. I guess that this makes it slightly more desirable (Geddy's are always desirable!). GLWTS Tonci! If I had the money it would be mine already!
10. Hi Tonci Great Geddy Lee you got there! Amazing basses these. Could you explain the "Limited Edition" in detail please? Cheers.
11. Just met with Gus today as he lives very close to my workplace and I have to say that what a lovely chap he is! We had a long conversation about pedals and amps that was really interesting, it is always great to learn about new gear and weird vintage stuff also. The AD4096 was immaculate and in it's original box, cannot wait to play my bass through it tomorrow! Great chap, great communication at all times and 110% recommendable to deal with. All the best Gus!
12. I am "all in" for the AD4096! Great piece of gear!
13. Nice stuff you got there mate! Were are you based?
14. Amazing looking bass!
15. That Bronco sure looks amazing! Good job with the mods! Btw, how does the hot rails sound on bass?
I used a Hot rail guitar pickup in mine, and made a new pickguard. I cut down a jazz bass control plate tomake a sort of "faux-Mustang" vibe I know the pole pieces lining up are good in terms of aesthetics, but most pickups have a magnetic field that aren't affected by pole pieces being a bit out of line. 16. Glad to see that it all turned out ok with Thomann. How is the P-Bass V??? The OW and CAR colours look amazing. Does the B string sound any good?
17. That is an eye catcher for sure. Lovely looking SoundGear. My first bass was also a SoundGear and the neck is amazing on these: skinny and super fast. Enjoy!!!
18. Lovely bass... just 1 string too many for me. GLWTS!
19. +1 on the Brown Dog, love mine. IE Oxide could be another option. I have a Copilot FX Orbit and it has some cool features on it too, maybe worth checking out.
20. Amazing pics mate. These P-Bass are really cool... Slim neck, Candy Apple Red colour, Badass and a Quarter Pounder p/up. What's not to like? Btw, how would you compare it to the Mark Hoppus sig. bass? Same p/up but I'm guessing different sound due to the body wood. GLWTS!
21. Please keep the porn going guys... more pics, more pics!!!
22. Oh My Dog... They all look great and sound amazing! I considered a Limelight a few months ago but did not give a shot in the end due to purchasing a lovely ´79 Yamaha BB1200 from a fellow B'chatter, but now GAS is growing...
23. Really interesting! As you say, the Kala seems to go a bit out of intonation the more down the neck you go. How is the MicroBass then? Same issues? I am guessing that the extra 3" on the scale helps a bit.
24. 55 quid is a great bargain!!! Congrats mate! Great pedal.
25. Swollen Pickle hands down. Yes, it has a ton of controls (internals too) but once you know what they do you can get pretty amazing sounds out of it and the low end on tap is an added bonus. I have various "muffs" and that mid scoop thing just does not work live. A little off topic but my favourite fuzz atm is the Chunk Systems - Brown Dog. Simple and versatile. Cheers
