  1. I have a DeArmond Jetstar II that I got from the forum a few years back and belonged to bassist Scott Whitley. Its the made in Korea one with the x2 made in USA single coils. Scott modified it to be a Vol + Tone + Mini 3-way pup selector, literally the same layout as his SWB-1. It's a great little bass, you can actually "approximate" an Alembic tone by using both pups on at the same time.
  2. One of my favorite pre-amps of all time. Such a shame you are not in the UK, stupid import taxes 🙃!
  3. That's a great looking bass for not a lot of money! I'm a sucker for P-basses with J necks 🤘 GLWTS
  4. Rare to see one of these will all the covers! The E-C tuning on these, so ahead of its time. GLWTS
  5. Let me see if I can sort out a means of transportation, but don't hold your hopes up 🤪
  6. I would have taken this if I lived closer... GLWTS!
  7. I bought Charles' @charles.bioul.bass Obsidian P-Bass wiring loom and it arrived the following day. Great chap and amazing comms. I will definitely deal with him again if the opportunity arises in the future. 👍👍👍 Cheers!
  8. Dibs on whichever set is left (if still available) 😊
  9. How did I miss this?! 😅 That P looks amazing. @Beedsteryou need to do a "Beedster Warehouse Sale"! You always have great gear hanging around.
  10. Great bitsa! If you ever think of parting it out, I would be interested in the body. GLWTS!
  11. Wow! That was quick!
  12. Great article @franzbassist
  13. Thanks for this @Reggaebass
  14. Hi there, I have an Ashdown Little Bastard 30w valve head that I am trying to pair with an Aguilar DB112 for home studio work and was wondering about what other LB users settings are. The EQ is still a mystery to me as I my main amp for years has been a Markbass Little Rocker 500 and that thing is really easy to dial in when compared to the LB. I have had a look over here and on Talkbass for the "flat" settings but there does not seem to be a general rule of thumb. For reference I use a variety of passive P and J basses with and without effects and I tend to look for a tone that has a hint of growl if you dig in with a pick but is stil fat and punchy when playing finger-style. All suggestions are welcome! Cheers!
  15. What a lovely bass... I have a '79 BB1200 in the same colour and it is an amazing instrument. If only I had the money for this... always liked the BB2000
  16. I will have them miles'tone! PM incoming shortly.
  17. Thanks for the advice Hellzero and Crawford13! 🤘 I will have a further look at those Warwick sets. Cheers, Byron
  18. Happy New Year all! I am looking at stringing my OLP MM3 5-String from a low-B to a high-C as I am delving into chordal territory more and more on my 4-strings and want that extra register. Are there any sets that you would recommend or is it easier to grab a 6-string one instead? Cheers! Byron
  19. I'm in for the 1st combo if they become available again! 😎
  20. Oh mamma, that is some tidy cabling Sir! 👍
  21. It's still a super comfy neck though, I believe it is the same to my BB1200 and although I mainly play J-sized necks the BB feels good and fits my hand pretty well.
