  1. This is a very good quality plate, made by Fatboy Guitars Ltd. in Newport England, probably about 20 years ago. I have had it in a drawer for years and never even removed the plastic film so it is in new unmarked condition. The colour is a very pale mint green to my eyes which is not captured in the photos. Price includes UK postage.
  2. Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 Quarter Pound Single Coil P-Bass Pickup. I bought this new a few years ago and never used it. Postage at cost. Details here: https://www.seymourduncan.com/single-product/quarter-pound-single-coil-p-bass
  3. Great strings for reggae, Motown or any old school style. Distinctive purple silks, unused in original package. I also have a hardly used matching 5th string - 126 gauge available for an additional fiver if required. Price includes UK postage.

  4. I used some old Picatos I had lying around but I don't think they make them anymore. These look good alternatives and they should be a good fit: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/la-bella-760fl-s-deep-talkin-bass-flats-light-43-104-short-scale/
  5. The Ibanez Mikro was my choice after trying a few shorties and I love it. I changed the strings to flats because I like that sound, otherwise it's perfect. I bought mine from Amazon with next day delivery and free returns: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ibanez-GSRM20-MiKro-Electric-Guitar/dp/B00YNJGBL6/ref=nav_signin?crid=1A7T2YZ6L695R&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.I0otZrhyHz_aDn61EVJYnWyfCbvDpotpKl4hQchOtJOZwLBHR75NoRC71QBJpx69VNHixH3gUPaJ2VVElMFCe9Ed7pq2YgrjQNIS8UZoAm63xrPuweL8M6Zls3G7l4jzzF8bHSTzD-7IlEZua35iltLZ5OA44in0F-2FWwUhDtfY2xwJOgiVZfCaUdLj3jFsq3KhMpLg8vBr10_KFtykt7EBNrpz4ON8mli5d6O38wyUdyvIayJxLpCNz4au0IZmwliDkW6nXdlchaiYD5E-O_JBO7ZCjNKihoB3jWFUBqo.1jVasVGFw1IDnVCWudZCLu0Y0K-Bqrn39Mkst6vBbcA&dib_tag=se&keywords=ibanez%2Bmikro%2Bbass&qid=1757513174&sprefix=the%2BIbanez%2BMikro%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-1&th=1
  6. It reminds me of my old bass which I remember Beedster once described as fugly - fair comment but it suits me
  7. Thanks for everyone's input. I decided to resist the temptation and carry on with my old Jazz bass for now. A black JMJ is top of the list if I am drawn back...
  8. Thanks for the heads up ez...
  9. I thought my bass buying days were over and I haven't been near Basschat for years... But just when you think you're out, they pull you back in I suddenly want a Mustang and I've narrowed it down to 3 main contenders - Squier Classic Vibe, Fender Vintera or Fender JMJ signature. Does anyone have experience of any or all of these basses? Is the difference in quality justified by the relative prices? My gigging days are probably over, it's mainly for recording reggae and dub music.
  10. Keep up the good work
  11. Does anyone know the names of any of these riddims?
  12. New one from Head Gardener:
