1. Stick it on eBay with postage and send it on
2. iPad or high powered laptop Either will do what you want. Only reason why I suggested laptop Is because you can type on it and do a lot more without restriction The iPad is more portable and can be a very powerful music tool with the right apps and employment
3. I agree with the op but sometimes only a touch of x effect is required in the mix Again, it's completely subjective to the requirement Too much effect can complicate the bass signal and make it sound too loose and not sit well in the mix
4. Bought a phone off martyn top guy to deal with very trustworthy and a pleasure Thanks!
5. I'm not a boffin about speaker size but I know that's its loud. I play in a primitive noise punk band and it drowns out the guitar in rehearsal It resonates in your chest/ makes the room shake. Exactly what I want with bass However it's totally tonally subjective to what you want. Some say its a cold sounding amp and blah blah but for me, it's definitely usable. Given the tone print and DI out etc
6. Refurb it and you'll get a few more quid for it Recarpet the box, rehouse the head Should get a better deal but if u just want rid then £150 is definitely viable
7. The TC is good. It's got DI out so if you needed extra muscle...
8. Bargain alert !!!
9. Beautiful amp. Fantastic steal of a price as well
10. Agree Unless you like the sound of farts
11. I would have in ear monitors... Just ignore the guitar and listen to just drum n bass
12. Just buy another ds1 Cheap enough anyway
13. Put it through a mixer and have alesis airfx in the fx loop - dynamic sounds!
14. I like low action, play faster
15. I had one of these, great tone outta this thing. Bloody heavy but built to last!
16. Yeah my band does the same. I hate it. Throws me out and I get all confused. Can't use my scales or patterns because of that bloody string. All I did was just tune the bass down a step. DGCF Problem solved.. I can use the scales again yaaaay ...
17.
try it with one of these http://youtu.be/hWmk-PIy4xg
This is what I do. I have LMB3 at the front of the chain, squashes and extrudes my weedy passive signal into a hot fat sausage active tone. I lose dynamics but I don't really care about that.
18. I think the weight adds to the character of the TE sound !
19.
Sadly I think the days of tiny high-capacity hard-drive music players (well, that'd be the iPod Classic) are numbered, as people move over to streaming music from that Cloud thingy. Pity, as I don't want my on-the-move listening to be dependent on a decent phone connection, and then be paying for bandwidth to listen to music I've already bought!
The battery wept as I read that our loud.
20. Yes it should come with the power lead. It's like buying a telly with no remote!!
21. He'd be wearing it. And the invoice for the replacement goods will be in the post !
22. Why such big box? Should have called it EHX BIG BOX
23. Get him a drum kit instead. Form a band. Get gigs. Get stinking rich. ???
24. I has one of these, great pedal board, top notch build quality as you expect from boss
25. Great combo Really worth the £££ !
